Easy to use
I like that they hold and are not in the way of any thing else

Have to purchase routinely.
The clip and the hooks are not galvanized so they easily succumb to rust and corrosion. I try and reduce accumulated rust for a couple years but have to repurchase eventually.

Secure and easily adjustable.
I purchased a pair of these boat tie downs several years ago and they have worked great, but I sold them with my last boat. I hadn't seen them locally, and needed a pair for my new personal water craft, so ordered a pair. Unfortunately, they were two large for a PWC, but were perfect for my 23 foot pontoon boat. The features I liked best are strength, easily adjustable tighteners (adjust the first time and they are set) and sewn-on velcro jackets to retain the excess strap. One end has a plastic coated heavy duty tie down hook. The other hook that attaches to the trailer is zinc coated. the adjuster handle is also zinc coated and the strapping is between the adjuster and the boat, protecting the boat stern from scratches or dings. I would recommend and buy again.

Amazing quality straps, for strapping equipment.
A bit pricey, but these are absolutely perfect if you are trying to strap any piece of equipment down to a trailer/truck bed. I own a landscaping business and we use these straps to hold the mowers from shifting around on the trailer. I installed hooks into the floor on the trailer, and leave this strap permanently hooked to the trailer floor so when we pull the mowers onto the trailer we just hook the strap on the mower, pull tight and walk away. huge time saver when compared to traditional ratchet straps.

Difficult to Set
These are difficult to use. It's basically a lever binder, but with webbing instead of chain. What makes them hard to use is the fact that a level binder has that one sweet spot, which is easy to find with a length of chain, because you can adjust the binder one link at a time until you find it. With the webbing, you're forever searching for that sweet spot. It's either too tight or two loose. It took me fifteen minutes to get them just right on my trailer. Also, the length is odd. They're not very long, but if the distance between tie down points isn't far enough apart, the sleeve to lock down the buckle is too close to the buckle to do its job. Lastly, the extra material to prevent chafing is not sufficiently protective when the strap twists off the horizontal, nor do I think it's enough material to be effective. For my trailer, I prefer the ratcheting type of binder or strap.

Rod Saver Tie Downs are GREAT!
I don't do very many reviews but when I do it's because it's something that's really good or something really bad. I got these tie downs over a year ago so I've had some time to use them to know if they're any good or not. If I ever need another set it will be the Rod Savers. They are heavy duty and are still like the day I got them. They are quick to put on and off and hold tight without slipping at all. I might get another set for a spare in case I lose them or something but it won't be because they broke or wore out.... very heavy duty. Don't even look for any of the other ones.... these are the best.

Big and strong.
WOW!!! I couldn't believe how big and strong these are. I'm using these to hold my 1,000 pound boat to its trailer. I won't be worrying about my boat flying off. Twice the size I was expecting for just $20. They look classy while holding my boat to its trailer too. Like some other people have said, they are a little too long and I will have to cut off a few inches. Doing this is no problem just as long as you burn to melt where you cut it. This keeps where you cut it from unraveling
