Quick and easy to use.
I got rid of the old ratchet straps and now use these tie downs. I set them once and then all you do is hook the top and bottom, flip the handle down and secure the Velcro and The boat is ready.

Fall off all the time
These straps come off all the time. If you can find the style with locking carabiners do it and pass on these.

Well, they going to hold the boat, but if you are not very carefully, it is going to scratch you boat too. Very poor design on the piece of strap that stays between the metal piece and the boat. As soon as you lock the buckle, the strap that is supposed to protect against scratches, moves up and you scratch the boat if you are not careful.

Tie Downs
No padding that goes against the boat, my old ones had rubber or hard plastic that went to the boat side to protect it. Picture is not good on the site.
