X-Large Black TV Riser

I have an older style, but fully functional, cherry wood entertainment center with a left hand glass cabinet door and shelves for audio equipment (CD player/Audio Receiver/Cable&Sat Receiver/Blu-Ray Player). The right hand 2/3 of the entertainment center housed and hid my former 34" analog, behemoth of a tube SD TV on a black swivel shelf at the bottom of the cabinet, behind french interior slide doors. I needed a black tv riser/shelf that would fit within the existing cabinet yet clear the swivel shelf attached to the bottom of the cabinet. I have a new 32" HDTV (which does not take up as much space as the former tv, but perfectly fits the width of the cabinet) that sits on a new audio box. The equipment sat too low in the cabinet for a proper viewing angle from the living room furniture. This TV riser was the perfect solution! The dimensions listed were accurate. The craftsmanship of the piece is beautiful and sturdy! Best of all, I get to keep the expensive designer entertainment cabinet I so love! An added bonus is I now have a space between the attached swivel shelf and the bottom of the riser shelf for a gaming console when it comes time to add that technology to our home entertainment package. I was hesitant to buy a riser for my 50" TV and it was difficult finding one that had the depth that was needed to fit my TV stand and not hang off the riser. The maker of the product had excellent reviews so I decided to try him.I was very pleased to receive a stand that a) was not made of particle board, b)was handcrafted and made in the US, c) was packed well with a sturdy box, and d) already had good protectors (small rubber bumpers on the bottom) so the TV cabinet would not get marred. It is very sturdy and had a nice beveled edge which is unusual for a riser in this price range.Seller corresponded immediately giving date of delivery. I couldn't be happier. It will last a long time and when I upgrade to a 70" TV, it will still be adequate. Kerry even included a thank you note for my purchase in the box.You won't be disappointed by ordering a riser from Syracuse TV Risers. They are the best, and I did shop around!

Only drawback is it is a little pricey. But, if you have a large, expensive TV, I wouldn't trust anything less. Solid enough to use as a weapon in the coming Zombie Apocalypse. RIch, black finish. Quality work.

I don't remember the exact date I purchased this but it's been at least 9 or 10 years. It's been through 2 moves and 2 different TVs and center channels. Currently supporting a 65" sony tv.No issues whatsoever.

Via Amazon, I was able to order a custom-sized black Riser for my Klipsch RC-64 II by paying for two "stock" risers. Finish on the Riser is a fair match, though not as glassy-smooth as the speaker. All edges on the Riser were to be left square instead of rounded, but the front upright edges on both side-pieces were rounded off anyway. Too costly to send back, so I'm keeping it. I have not requested a refund, and don't intend to. Explained my dissatisfaction to the maker, but have received no reply.Update [8/22/14]: My Custom Riser was delivered more than two weeks ago. Even though I've explained that I am not returning it -- two subsequent e-mails to the maker, expressing my disappointment over his failure to finish it as was requested and agreed to, have received no reply from him at all... not even an apology. This complete lack of business professionalism on his part has regrettably caused me to change my rating from three stars to one star.Update [6/08/15]: It's gotten worse. I hate to spoil the party... but these risers are NOT as strong as they're reported to be. Similar to the description of his X-Large riser, my custom-sized one has a fully-enclosed back (with wire-hole)... so the top is fully supported along the entire length of three of its four edges.Well... my 58" plasma weighs 100 pounds, and after sitting on the riser for only ten months, the unsupported front edge of the riser's top has warped so much, that the mid-point of the top's upper front edge is now 5/16ths of an inch lower than its ends! I hate to imagine how much further it would have warped by now, if the back edge were only supported at the ends, like some of his other designs.All things considered, my strong advice is to look elsewhere.

I needed a riser so that I could actually see my TV over my large center channel speaker (thank you MartinLogan). The product is strong, well built and a perfect fit for my system! Aside from great products, syracuse tv risers also have great customer service!

I like that the builder will customize this for you. We got our communications a bit mixed up, but he made it right for me. This is not pressboard: it's solid oak/pine and very nicely finished. It's supporting a fairly heavy wide screen TV inside a 9' wide wall unit. I just wanted it a little higher. I highly recommend this!

I used this riser to add to my old TV stand to raise the TV and make room for a DVR underneath. The finish of this stand is a very close match to my speaker boxes. I'm very pleased, but this stand makes my old TV stand underneath it look not so great in comparison. I highly recommend this great product. It's very sturdy and I'm sure it could withstand much more weight than any TV I could place upon it could provide. The cutout for cable routing is sufficiently large and cable routing for me was not a problem.
