SoftSheen-CarsonDark and Lovely Color-Gloss Ultra Radiant Color Crème, Rich Black

I am not a beautiful woman of color. I am what cosmetic companies refer to as ivory, or what I call choosing between getting skin cancer so my legs are dark enough to be acceptable for shorts or wearing long dresses and pants all the time. I choose to cover up. However, I absolutely love this hair dye. It is so hard to find a true black on the market nowadays. Splat makes one but it's very runny and I prefer to use a coloring kit like this, which is thicker and easier to apply and rinse out. The color came out beautifully. I finally have the true rich black color I've been looking for and my hair is soft and shiny. If you have very long or long and thick hair, however, you'll need two boxes for full coverage. Still, even with two boxes it's a steal compared to what I've had to pay a salon for the same results. Definitely worth every penny and then some.

It covers the gray and makes your hair look so beautiful and healthy

I bought this for a replacement for my old Clairol Natural Instincts, which switched formulas. The Dark and Lovely was a good choice. I was looking for regular semi permanent hair dye with full grey coverage and no ammonia. This delivered! The conditioner smells amazing like coconut. I will buy again. I will also add that I am Caucasian and this product worked great on my hair.

I purchased two. One box had two items that’s appeared to be gloves. It must have been a factory error... only two pieces NOT a Pair Of gloves were attached.You must have gloves to use the product. I had a back up pair thankfully. Check your box first!

Though this product didn't yield the color results I was looking for, it did the job. My hair was already brown and I was expecting results from the picture on the box. Certain parts of my hair are lighter than others which gives the appearance of highlights. For my first time coloring, people took notice of the color change that I could not see. Very moisturizing, but didn't work! No color change results even after keeping it on for the maximum time. My hair is natural 3c/4a and hasn't been treated with any chemicals in 2.5 years. Maybe it's just resistant, but the product did leave me with a nice, shiny colorless gloss...so that's something.
