This puzzle is manufactured by several makers and called different things.It probably comes in different versions.If you are familiar with the Classic 7-piece Soma Cube by Piet Heim ;this is much the same sort of puzzle.The Soma Cube has 27 small cubes assembled in different clusters and shapes and the object is to fit them together to form one large cube;and there are many solutions. What we have here is 40 cmall cubes assembled in 11 clusters ranging from 2 to 5 cubes.The object is to fit them together to in a rectangular solid of 2 X 4 X5 cubes;and then they will fit back in the box provided. Some might refer to this puzzle as a "stacking puzzle" because that is the term often used when a bungh of objects are to be fit into a box. Some mechanical or hand held puzzles are both a challenge to "take- apart" as well as to put back together again.Not so with this little rascel;just open the box turn upside down,and dump them out. Now fit 'em back in.You know it's possible,you just took 'em out,so they gotta go back in. It is a real challenge,and even more so than a Soma Cube.It does not come with a solution;so if you want to make sure you can re-assemble them in the box;why don't you make a sketch as you take them out;you might be glad you did!.You won't spoil the fun because you can put it away for a while and try again later;it'll be just as big a challenge second time around.
