Very poor quality.
This will be going back. Can't believe (even if reduced from £10 to £7.50) that this is plastic! Croydex range, the toilet roll holders, are nice and solid. This light pull weight is not good. How on earth this weight can't be made out of metal is crazy. Flimsy and cheap imo. A real let down and when I opened it thought maybe some scam seller who had exchanged a 'Chrome' pull for a cheap plastic one. I wouldn't pay anything for it to be honest and find it ghastly and like something from a pouind shop.

It’s not chrome it’s plastic, but it’s ok once installed
After opening the product I thought it was going to be bad. It was extremely light and I realised it’s not chrome after all, but plastic. Then when trying to assemble I had a real hard time poking our string through ( not the string that came with it as we have better quality string)But after finally installing it, it actually is totally fine, and it actually feels good to the touch. It doesn’t feel plastic it feels shiny and smooth so it’s ok.But because it’s plastic, and hard to get string through the small hole, I have lowered the stars. The title does say chrome after all, but it’s not, it’s chrome effect plastic. So the cost is probably quite high for what it is considering. But it doesn’t cost much so overall I’m happy.

Great quality product!
A little bit fiddly to set up, but definitely worth it! It's a plastic body, with some metal inside to add some weight. It doesn't feel remotely plastically or bad quality like some other reviews say.My only complaint is that the line between the cap and the body is a lot more apparent in real life than in the pictures. It's also slightly larger than I expected it to be! But it suits the room perfectly, and was the best option of the competition! It does come with a string, but we didn't use that so I can't say what quality it is.

quality
bought my first one in april and was very pleased with it. it had a nice weighted feel to it and looked good. the second one i bought in august was very light in weight and felt flimsy ,nowhere near the quality of the first one .if this product is outsourced by croydex then i would take a look at their supplier as the difference between the two were very far apart quality wise. pleased with first one disappointed with second

Rubbish cord supplied
For the Price the Plastic toggle is Just about ok but the cord is Very-Very cheap and nasty. The cord supplied is so flimsy it stretches! when pulled! 4 year old pulled it and said light not working. No just the cheap cord stretching. :(

Fell apart after 2 pulls
As per Shiela Fox’s experience, the one I bought also fell apart after 2 (not very hard) pulls. So disappointed as it was perfect for our bathroom. I tried to fix it but it appears that the ‘pull’ end of the cord is just glued into the middle of the final ball, so if anyone grips them to switch on the light, it is likely to fall apart sooner rather than later. Will be returning for a refund as £18.99 feels like a lot for such a poorly designed item...

Prompt delivery and item as described
The item was expected to arrive on Wednesday, but I have received it on Monday - thank you very much! :)It is as described in chrome colour. The body is plastic with a small weight inside at the bottom to make it heavy. Now I like that it is not too heavy to be banging on the wall after it is released.A small drawback is that the hole is exactly the same size as the thread, so I used a needle to help the thread go through prior to making the knot.

It's looks good and us sufficiently weighty to hang properly.
Nothing to dislike, easy to fix and a nice weight that keeps the cord taught but is not over heavy. It warns in the instructions to keep ulit away from tiles. Having a young grandsone I have trimmed the cord so it hits the wall above the half tiled wall. I suspect a small curious child might swing it and crack a tile, given the chance.
