Very well built but it doesn’t come with a pole so you have to make your own or buy a medal one.I used a 4x4 x12 foot wooden post with a pole cap which you screw into the bottom of the birdhouse.You also have to have an8 foot stepladder to put the birdhouse on top of the pole and to take down an clean in the winterYou also have to the stain the birdhouse white as the Marlins will only move into white birdhouses?It took 4 courses .it also comes with a very interesting magazine on purple Martins and hopefully in the spring I will see my first group of birds move into this new home

I put this new house up after the aluminum one fell apart... I am hopeful this will be as good a home for these birds yet none have occupied it in the month it has been in place (we have had a cold wet spring and birds were late arriving, but several have scouted here....... The end board was broken when it arrived new in the box, but my husband was able to fix it and we are using the house anyway. I was able to stain the wood quite easily, and putting it up with the telescoping pole worked fine. I looks great in place, and I am hopeful still to have a family of birds move in....

Im very impressed with the quality of craftsmanship and materials this birdhouse is made of. It is so beautiful and looks great in my backyard near my pond and back porch. Hopefully some martins or swallows that eat mosquitoes will move in soon :-) I saw a violet green swallow checking it out and they are the most beautiful!

When I took a picture of it to share with the Purple Martin Conservative group I found out the apartments are way too small. It is not even close to being proper. I modified it an ended up with only 2 apartments. Don't buy this.

By the time we were able to get our bird house up by making our own post, it was too late in the summer. We hope that with the drones on and a launching next spring, we will have some activity. My only worry is having the ability to drop and lift the house to clean and monitor. Any rationale suggestions appreciated - other than buy a new post, etc…

Very nice bird house, I painted the outside it's made with cedar wood. Very sturdy!! It took about 2 week for some blue bird to move in they love it. Well it's been a couple years and all the houses are full. They leave for awhile and they all come back. The birds love it

This product is well made and the seller shipped it quickly. It came with a book on birding and 2 plastic decoy birds. You will need to be sure to buy white stain (not paint) to stain it. It is very well made and will need a strong support. It is well worth the investment if you are serious about attracting Purple Martins.

Did not like plastic mounting plate that came with it, so we bought a steel metal one
