ToughGrade TG-33 2 New Trailer Truck Steel Housing Box with Oval Tail Light & Round Light LED

So if you're reading these reviews, you probably know what you're getting. The boxes are not painted, and the welds are either good spot welds or incomplete normal welds. So they will let water and grime in.I knew these things ahead of time, so I didn't really mind completely welding these up and painting them. It took a while - longer than I expected. Maybe two hours. But the metal is thicker than I expected, and the quality of the lights seems good. Maybe it's okay for water to get in anyway, with lights like these. Anyway, I now literally use these lights as steps after welding them onto my trailer. I've gone from trying hard not to touch the lights against anything lest they break to trying not to damage anything else by hitting it with a light. Tiny advice tidbit: Don't forget that you may have to add an electrical ground connection (I should have realized it earlier).

These boxes and lights are not worth it! The holes for the side lights are not the right size, and I had to ream the hole out to make the lights fit. The lights themselves are of poor quality and come apart very easily. The rubber grommets that came with this set ripped almost instantly. Very dissappointed. I won't buy these again.. there are better ones out there. They are more money, but the hassle to get these to work doesn't justify the price difference.

I purchased this light package because I was so sick of replacing the "cheap lights" from the local parts store. Turns out this kit cost the same AND the lights are LED!!! The metal boxes I think are a great starting point, they are only tack welded and I don't think they would hold up to any real contact so I fully welded mine together. Now I can actually use them for a step. The lights fit well and look great all lit up. They are extremely bright. Be careful when wiring them, the wires are goofy colors I think. Luckily I'm color blind so I always check operation before wiring.

I bought these because I was going to rewire the my trailer, and figured I would eliminate the plastic breakage issues on the trailer while I was at it. Postponed the project long enough that I cannot return these. The outer hole is to small to fit the light inside of the plastic grommet. I was able to force one in but it ripped the rubber. Do not waste your time.

Nice build quality. Tack welds were decent, but I'll be cutting them up anyway to make patch panels and recessed lights on my custom 66 ford

Installed them on my towmaster equipment trailer with the ramp latches. little modification, these bolted on perfectly.Box was high quality. LEDs are nice and bright. Grommets are a little cheap, especially on the 2" corner markers, one of them tore. Thats why only 4 stars. But for the price, are you kidding? very, very satisfied overall.

Worked great. Replacement parts are available for now. Very sturdy sometimes have to spend a little more now to save in the long run. Weld on I think is best but can drill holes and bolt on also. All depends on your trailer.

Very impressed with the overall fit and quality. By far excellent part for the money. Just ordered another set for my other trailer.
