Found it depressing stopped listening to it and decided to be.more positive and stop focusing on this and focused on abundance instead more money appeared and still appears when I focus on abundance !

Love this book! Barbara Stanny explains WHY women have accepted their self-imposed limitations on their earning power, and provides simple but revealing exercises to help us change our perspective and hence our thoughts and actions regarding money. Thought-provoking and a must-read for any woman struggling financially.

As a Certified Financial Planner(tm) practitioner, I am always looking for good books to recommend to clients and to people who come to my workshops on how to get their assets in gear. "Overcoming Underearning" is one that will be high on my recommended list.I have been in practice for more than 20 years and have learned that 80% of how people handle money is emotional and only about 20% is rational or well thought out. Stanny's book has a goldmine of ideas on how to uncover the emotional issues that are holding you back and gradually change your ratio so more of your decisions can be rational and less emotional.Throughout the book she gives writing exercises with structured questions to help the reader get to the root of their underearning dynamics. I can't tell you how impressed I am with her lists and with her questions. There is no doubt that she has "been there, done that" and that she is armed with powerful insights from the many workshop clients she has worked with. She knows her stuff!The book is exceptionally well written and well edited. It flows well, is easy to read, and very compelling. The power of the book is in the journaling exercises and the follow up ideas she provides. If you want to earn more, do these exercises and I think it will blow you away.I was impressed that even though I'm already a high earner and very good with my own money that I picked up quite a few great ideas that will benefit me personally. I did receive my book in perfect condition. Actually looks a like a brand new. I borrowed this book three times from my public library then decided to have my own copy. The reading is so interesting and guess what it has changed my money situation and bank account. Do the homework and stop all the wishing thinking! This book is so complete. Understanding where you, plus actions means more money in your bank account. Loved it!

I am a real fan of Barbara Stanny's. Her prior book, Secrets of Six Figure Earning Women was indispensable to me - she hit the nail on the head over and over again and her words truly inspired me to view my life differently. Because that book had been so important I bought this one and was not expecting to learn significantly more. I was wrong. The exercises in this book brought me to an even higher level of awareness and knowledge. I highly recommend this book -even if you think that you have "solved your problem".

This book is light on fluff and heavy on hard, eye-opening truth. It reframed my behaviors so matter-of-factly that I responded, time and again, with "Well, that's stupid. I'm not going to do that anymore." A lot of books have made a big impression on me. Only a few have changed my thinking and my life. This is one of them.
