Balboa Baby Dr. Sears Adjustable Sling - Boheme

I wanted a ring sling in order to be able to breast feed my baby while at the dinner table, keeping hands free. Normal ring slings are great for this, but this one is not. With the rubberized ring, you can't adjust the size while wearing the sling, and you can't do the normal trick of pulling some parts of the fabric tighter and others looser. It is, however, very secure, and when I sling it extra low it's easier than other carriers for doing dishes and cooking. My baby gets to watch what's going on while being more out of the way yet still close to mama. I love the pattern and feel of the fabric. It's light enough for hot days. Still, I use it the least of all my slings. My sister prefers it for some reason and uses it more than I do. We can never figure out how to get the baby in a lying down position in it, so she's always sitting up either in a kneeling or squatting position. It's extremely comfortable to wear with the nice padding in the strap. It also feels very safe and secure. Still, I probably wouldn't buy it again.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this sling! I got one from my cousin as a gift with my now 2 year old and love it so much that I HAD to purchase a new one with my now newborn! It makes grocery shopping, breast feeding, and just plain doing things easier hands free with Baby close to you! I use this day in and day out and absolutely love it so much!I’ve gotten soooooo many compliments on how cute and convienient it looked! One lady even said he was going to recommend it to her friend so she could carry her dog in it! I do not work for this company in anyway and HIGHLY recommend this this sling to EVERYONE!!! You won’t be disappointed.

I love the idea of this sling, but the fabric is sooooooo thin. I am used to using slings and long wraps so I LOVE wearing my baby. I thought this would be a nice alternative to my linen sling and wrap (because slings take effort to put on properly and there's excess fabric that I have to deal with and dont want to graze the floor when I am out!). While I like the shorter length of the straps and the padded shoulder aspect, I am worried about the thinness of the fabric. It does not feel substantial even though my 6-month-old is very skinny. It does not feel like it would hold up to repeated washings or to hand-down. I cannot imagine it would feel secure holding a up to 35 pound baby. I have not decided whether I will return this, but this would have been pretty perfect if they used a heavier weight cotton or linen. I would pay more for nicer fabric and $60 seems too much for this as it is.

I love that it’s so easy to use. No complicated folds or twists or any of that stuff. It’s excellent quality! The fabric is very soft and sturdy at the same time. The ring is made out of metal and it has a cushiony shoulder pad. There is also a pouch in front for your cellphone or pacifier or a small burp cloth. My baby is two months old and weighs ten pounds. He is still small for the sling even though I adjusted it. The sling is very convenient though. I just had to make sure I supported his back while i carried him. I can foresee how handy this sling will be. I’m glad I bought it.

I have used this when my baby was infant. It gave him a nice cradle position. However after multiple uses and washed when baby is getting bigger, baby easily sinks into it and it needs lots of adjusting. That is a bit annoying because it is not comfortable. It says that it will outgrow your child but to be honest I only used it a couple of months and I just could not put him into it anymore because his position becomes awkward and it is not comfortable anymore. I tried it again when he turned one with the hip position as they suggested, but I just could not make us both fit and be comfortable. So I was disappointed. This sling is good only for infant size. Other than that, it's better to use other carrier like bojourn. It feels comfy all the way from infant to late toddler.

My baby loves this sling. She passes right out when I place her in it. I'm able to get so much done now that I have it. It's way easier to put on than my moby baby wrap. Which is a lifesaver, cuz any mom knows time is something that we don't have a lot of.

I received a few different styles of baby carriers and all were ok or required extra hands to put on. I needed something that this new mama could just throw on get baby in safely and go to the grocery store/Dr appointments/etc. This is by far my go to. I even use to it to help soothe my little one when she's fussy. Going forward this will be the baby shower gift i'll be getting all my friends!

I loved this wrap for my newborn, but now that she's becoming an active baby I am preferring other carriers. For the newborn stage this was perfect. It's simple to put on and use, no wraps, ties or buckles to fiddle with past the first sizing. It cradles baby nicely and feels secure, though I always kept one arm around the baby. It's also great to breastfeed while wearing. Plus it's simply a beautiful print to wear.
