The collection of disks has a good mix of styles of popular songs from current popular female vocalists. The vocal mix editions are actual soundtracks from the popular vocalists, not amateur remakes. My 7 year old enjoyed many of the songs and will likely grow into some of the others. Conservative parents may wish to take a look at the vocal lyrics of the songs before giving them to a child.Overall, my daughter and I were pleased with our purchse. A side note, I paid more here for the set than I have seen it in stores. However, I was looking for something like this for awhile and saw it here first. SoI suggest to look locally first for a better price, but if not available locally, I still think it was worth the money.

The songs are all popular and mild in language and implied content - naughty words are **** out but that also exagerates that something is missing - bought these "girl" songs but problem is if you buy the regular pop series these are all repeated on those discs - so now if I get the other ones with Maroon 5 etc they will have duplicates of nearly all the songs sung by girls.Discs take a long time to load but perform error free and lyrics are easy to read - all the discs in these series come in two versions - with and without the main vocals.Four stars only because of the song choices being duplicated on the other concurrent discs in series.

Blocked out words (like suck) and others that I get. But my daughter loves with her karaoke machine!

My 7 year old and I love the variety of songs and the value vs buying songs individually online. We use the CD's on the portable karaoke and upload them to our ipod also. I suspect the songs are radio versions as the language is as good as can be- the lyrics of most pop songs just contains some mature subject matter.

It has great songs, I just wish they would have edited the songs rather than put stars in place of deleted words. Like on the radio.

Step daughter loves it. Great gift for kids.

My 10 year-old loved it for her Karaoke birthday party. Only complaint is that a few songs are a little risk-a for her age.
