Claudia and Grammy Lose Weight: A Mississippi Grammy & California Granddaughter Lose Weight

This is a great little story about a child confronted with being overweight. Her positive attitude and determination to make healthier choices with some help from her grandmother is truly inspiring for all children struggling with this nationwide epidemic. If you have a child or know of any children who need some motivation and encouragement with their weight I highly recommend this short and sweet story. The layout of the story would also be a great teaching tool as well for teachers who are looking for a sensitive and light hearted way to talk about weight in their classroom.

Claudia and her Grammy tell a story of their experience trying to lose weight during one of Claudia's trip to her Grammy in Mississippi one summer. This is the first time I have read a book like this on weight lost and it has given me encouragement that if this little girl could lose weight so can I.
