R7s LED Bulb 118mm, Attaljus 110V Double Ended Dimmable Light Bulbs, 2700LM Warm White 3000K, 200-250W Halogen Bulb Replacement, J Type R7s Base Floodlight for Flood Lamps

This is exactly what I wanted. My torch lamp came with a 300 watt Halogen bulb. A while back, I replaced that bulb with a 100 watt Halogen, but you could still fry an egg on the glass cover plate.Now, with this LED, the glass plate does not even get warm, and the light output is all I need.It does dim - not with the smooth range of the Halogen, but it dims well enough.I highly recommend it.

I bought these two years ago. One died after 2 years use of about 2-3 hours per day (maximum). There is only a 90 day warranty .. .so...... I bought these to replace them.Both are 118mm halogen replacements. The COB bulbs are higher wattage but less bright, I think less lumens. Theses are 6000k truly and the COBs are 5000k or less. The Attaljus are whiter, clearly. The COBs are more shaped like traditional halogen bulbs whereas these Attaljus are larger in diameter (3x or so), but have the insert plugs on the outside of the cylinder radius thus leaving typical clearance from pin to surface but occupying a full 1" of space down compared to 1/4" of a traditional halogen. The Attaljus pair of bulbs are a few dollars more. Last these bulbs use a dozens of tiny LEDs instead of a COB elementSummary: The COB bulbs are a bit dimmer (both are dimmable), smaller (traditional size) and a touch of yellow (not anything near a "soft white" yellow, but noticeable when compared to these Attaljus or any other 6000k bulb. Although these Attaljus are rated at 30000 hours, one of mine died as noted above. I replaced the still working Attaljus bulb with the second in the COB new pair so the two matched in the fixture. They work well (2 days) and the color difference is not apparent with the rest of the other 4000k-5000k bulbs in the room. Both are good for the price with the exception of the failure of one of the Attaljus after a max of 3000 hours of use.

It was a simple installation. Just push the light bulb into the slot. As far as the light put out, well, it's enough for what I need. This is not a 100 watt incandescent type bulb. It puts out enough light to illuminate two large rooms with a soft white illumination. I put this on at night for my cats to be able to wander around . It doesn't run as hot as a Halogen and it only uses about 10 watts of power . How long will it last -- we shall see. I would buy it again if it fails. Very happy with the purchase.

Had bought an LED equivalent bulb at a big box store, it was not dimmable. I was trying to retro a Casablanca torch lamp from 1989. I swapped the OEM dimmer out thinking maybe that was the cause, it was not. Purchased these bulbs (150W equivalent). The bulbs are much heavier and robust than the big box brand. Installed them (for my purpose there are a lot of lamp pieces that cannot be used now because the bulbs will not fit) they also don't appear as critical because the heat output is so much less than the halogen bulbs. Your use will determine if the above matches your needs. In any case, rewired the original dimmer back into the line, installed the bulb and whalla, light, no flickering or noise. Some people complain they are not as bright as the halogen but on Amazon, I believe there was a 300w equivalent bulb too. What I bought was fine for my use, no complaints.

Despite getting the wrong size sent to me originally (78mm rather than 118mm), I am very happy with this purchase. The size and shape of this bulb is perfect for my ceiling fan and both bulbs worked perfectly (tested the spare). I use a dimmer so the normal setting of my old halogen was about half power and, even if this claims to be a lower brightness than that 150W bulb, the dimmer has to be set even lower to give me about the same illumination in the room. At full, it is more than bright enough for my needs. I hope it lasts at least as long as the halogen which was originally installed 12 years ago and was still going strong.The only less than ideal aspect of this bulb is the fact that, with my Lutron Maestro CL Fan/Dimmer combination switch, the bulb glows a little when the fan is turned on without the light switched on. Lutron says that this has to do with how some bulbs aren't as compatible as others but, considering how few similar bulbs are available (none locally), I'd rather live with the glow than go through a trial and error process. If the bulb ever needs to be replaced, I'll consider trying a different manufacturer but, assuming that's a long time from now, I may just want to stick with a winner. If it becomes an issue or the bulb doesn't last as long as I expect, I'll update this review.*update*Couldn't stand the glow on nights when it was hot inside but too cool outside to use AC. Switched back to halogen bulb (don't turn light on much and rest of house is LED) and will eventually replace the fan with something that uses regular LED bulbs. These are still great for any lamp that doesn't suffer my fan/Lutron dimmer problem.

The form factor is slim and fits into the older light fittings

Installed this in my outdoor halogen flood lamp wanting to save a bit of money not having a 300w halogen on every night. Barely fit the housing. Waited till dark and turned it on to be instantly disappointed. Output is less than half of the halogen and since it's no longer using the relector of the housing, pattern and distance is minimimal. Color is nice though. Definitely taking it back out and reinstalling a fresh halogen bulb.

We have had a torchiere floor lamp for many years. It came with a 500w Halogen bulb which gets extremely hot. We have it connected to an external dimmer. I wanted a dimmable LED replacement for a reasonable price. This was a little more pricey than I wanted to pay. I had to remove the heat shields to install this new bulb. It fits great with the heat shield removed. it also works great with our existing dimmer. it is very bright, brighter than the old halogen bulb and can also be dimmed. No flicker at lower light levels. If it gives us the expected lifetime then it will be worth the price. If it fails too soon I will update the review.

As it was mentioned in another review, this one might not fit in the place of halogen lamp.I bought it for exterior flood light and there's absolutely no way to force, cheat, push, beat it in place in between two aluminum support brackets. It is about 1/16" too big. See attached photos.Now, it MIGHT work if you take a file and try to work around, but than you won't be able to return it if it still won't fit. And let's be honest: when you buy something, you want it to work as it is, without any additional tunning.Item itself feels solid and well made, 5hats why 2 stars instead of 1.

I was always worried the halogen bulbs were going to burn the house down. Not a concern with this LED replacement. Only issues are the color of the light. I purchased white and it is a very stark white. I think if I were ordering again I would try for a warmer tone. Also the unit sits higher than the original bulb which means in some floor mount lamps when you are standing you can see the bulb over top of the lamp wich Can be a bit blinding.

It’s a nice lightbulb… LED. 6000 color which is nice bright blue light. In my own opinion it’s probably as bright as 100 W bulb not a 200. It’s dimmable but it doesn’t dim as low as I would like. And you have to turn it on full blast so the LEDs light up otherwise if you start off slow there’s no light. It’s OK not worth the money though.

Needed some daylight in the house. I bought this LED daylight bulb in replacement of a dimmable 300w halogen bulb in my old torchiere lamp. It was difficult to find that kind of bulb with rapid delivery, but I finally found it, received it in 2 days and it works all right! Installation was as easy as the halogen bulb and the it fits perfectly. So happy to have found this! Will buy a second one for another torchiere lamp!
