I Usually Have To Use Essential Oils Only Now, But This Means I Don't Have To Put Away My Wax Warmer!
I am quite excited right now. I have an entire drawer full of wax melts. Every winter, I would be very excited to have different wax melts to help me make it through the long very gray winters. However, when I developed some health problems of another nature, I began to use essential oils for healing. Suddenly I can not tolerate any of my soy wax melts anymore. They give me a headache. I can only use natural oils now when it comes to scenting the air. That limited me to only ultrasonic water based diffusers. I was about to put my wax warmer in storage when I saw these wax melts and decided to give them a try.WHAT ARE THESE WAX MELTS LIKE?Made from pure beeswax, these wax melts are scented simply with ylang ylang, a gardenia type flower scent which tends to bring relaxation and pleasant sweet flowery smell in a home. The melts come six in a pack. They are meant to be used on a hot warmer for wax melts, but you can use them in any arrangement that warms the wax to melting point to release the smell.HOW DO THESE WAX MELTS PERFORM?So far, I am very impressed. I am not getting any bad reactions, however, I will say that ylang ylang is one of those essential oils that you have to be careful with. Too much in sensitive individuals can lead to headache- that is true with water diffusers as well. The wax metls and the scent fills two rooms, in fact it goes through the home if centrally located in our dining room. Due to the beeswax base, the smell is a more buttery smell vs the water based diffuser used to disperse essential oils in a home. The smell from these wax melts is richer and a bit more velvety if that makes sense. It would be a great way to perk up the atmosphere if you plan to have a special event (as long as no one is sensitive to this particular smell)HOW TO USE THEMBecause ylang ylang is such a powerful oil, I have to run this for a half hour or so and then turn it off. It is a bit potent for our small home to run constantly until used up. In a home with high ceilings, lots of open doorways and air flow, running this until it is gone might not be a problem at all. In fact, it might be hard at times to smell the fragrance with vaulted ceilings and LOTS of open spaces. The scent lasts at least twice as long as my other wax melts did which is a good thing. I like that I can turn it off when I want the smell to be only for periods of time and it lingers a bit.CAN THESE BE USED INSTEAD OF A DIFFUSER?If you are using essential oils for therapeutic purposes, I want to point out that the use of heat in these melts will not cause the level of help from the essential oils that you will get from an ultrasonic diffuser which is not heat driven. It will still give you a great smell and probably some benefit, but if you are depending on these for healing with essential oils, I would say that would not be your best choice. These are more for great scent to warm up your home when you are not in need of health benefits of therapeutic essential oils as used in a diffuser.A WORD ABOUT THE COMPANYMy family has been dependent upon bees for quite some time now. Due to severe allergies, I can not eat anything with sugar cane or corn at the root of it. That leaves me with maple, date, and honey. We have supported local beekeepers for years. We know many of them and they are hard working people who love their bees and take good care of them. Having read up on this company, I have to say that I am really impressed with the attitude and the dedication to the health of the bees and the understanding of how valuable and precious bee products are. I appreciate what is being done here and think it is a great company to support.THE BOTTOM LINEAlthough ylang ylang essential oil is a bit potent for sensitive people to run this long periods, I find that I get no headaches or problems when used in short periods of time like I do with any synthetic scents of wax melts. The scent spreads through the home we have with low ceilings. Homes with more space and high ceilings will have less potency problem. The company has great attitude toward the beloved bees, and the product is top notch. At this point in time I give this FIVE STARSUPDATEI will update this review over time as I continue to explore this product and use it and have any more insight to give you about it.

Pleasant. Nice Product. Nose-Approved!
This is our first experience with melts (beeswax or otherwise). We've been pleased. Not sure whether it really smells like Philippine Queen (nothing to compare it to), but we can say the scent is pleasant and fortunately not too strong. We use a candle warmer like this one ( Candlsense Candle Warmer ) and the combination is a good one. The cubes melt evenly in the warmer and last quite some time (after 3-4 uses we are still on the first one or two cubes).As this is our first experience with candle melts we have no idea if the price is reasonable ($11.99 per package on Amazon at the time of this review), but it seems so.In the end, a nice way to add a pleasant smell to your environment and one I think most will not object to (neither the smell nor the intensity). We like it. 4 stars.

Interesting Scent
I put this in a tiny tea cup and put it on a cup warmer. I could use a small candle glass too, but I don't have a spare one at this moment. The smell is somewhat pleasant but not everyone of my guests like it. I try not to to keep it on for a long time but just long enough to saturate the room to refresh the room.I recommend it!
