Nordic Ware Angel Food Cake Pan,16-Cup, Mint

My angel food cakes have been much fluffier than using loaf pans, well worth the investment. Cooks very evenly.I read other reviews about it scratching easily, and the manufacturer instructions tell you not to use metal. But of course, since you can't grease a pan to make angel food cake, you have to use a knife. I bought a plastic cake spatula, and it was just as effective as a knife, surprisingly. Honestly, you probably shouldn't use metal on any of your good bakeware.As much as a 2 piece sounds great in theory for easy cake removal, I find that springform type pans are really prone to leaking, causing a giant mess. Not worth the risk. So I like that this is one piece. Plus it's just adorable. My kitchen colors are beige and mint. I don't yet have a nice cake server, so I just leave it in the pan and cut out a piece at a time, and it looks nice on the counter.Yes, it's hard to clean. Again, what angel food cake isn't hard to clean? Soaked it and used a non scratch scrub daddy.Perfectly fits a box of angel food cake mix. I've been low key obsessed with angel food cake mix as it doesn't require any ingredients except water. I never have to worry about having eggs or oil on hand. By stocking up on a few boxes and having this nice tube pan, I'm always just 45 minutes away from a perfect fresh cake.Still experimenting with ideal temperature, will update once I figure it out.

My husband is an Angel Food Cake fiend! He has had this exact pan for about 25 years and it is starting to show its age. He asked me to find him a new pan and when I saw this one, in the same color and design he's used forever, I couldn't wait to order it and surprise him with it. It was actually about half the price we paid for the original one years ago. I was afraid the quality wouldn't be there since it was so much less expensive, but...I decided to give it a try anyway. When it arrived, I compared the two and sure enough, they were the same weight and design. It was the same pan. When I gave it to him, he was so pleased. He couldn't believe I had found it and they were still being made. The cake comes out so much easier than it had in the past couple years of using the old one. This is a good, solid, Angel Food Cake pan. They last for several years and make a great cake. After several years, I finally got him to stop going around the cake pan with a knife, to loosen the cake...so the finish on this one should last even longer. There are no cons to this pan.

I'm so happy I purchased this cake pan, it's deep enough to hold all the batter for this butter pound cake. The batter would run over in my old pan. It's sturdy & easy to remove the cake from pan. If your lookng for a deep cake pan, nonstick & easy to clean: this pan is perfect!!!

Very light & easy to use.Made a perfect Pound Cake using the same recipe as I have used for a smaller cake pan.

I bought this to bake a peach cobbler Bundt cake and it turned out great. It’s so pretty you could leave it out in the counter. I look forward to baking a lot more pound cakes
