Great deal on an amazing camera
I’m normally a DSLR or Sony Mirrorless ILC shooter, but this camera will have me traveling much lighter. Photos are sharp, and the features are extensive. The 1” sensor is a big improvement over the excellent Lumix LX7 that was my pocket backup for years. The extra reach and better resolution are welcome. A bonus is that you can produce an acceptable photo at ISO 6400 (which I allowed by accident) as can be seen by the kitten. Most cameras that fit in your shirt pocket just give you a mess at that ISO. It doesn’t compete with a full frame or APSC, but it is far better than expected. The one thing I do miss is some easy way to sync an external flash. There is no hot shoe, as in the Lumix. Sony doesn’t even do TTL sync through its built-in flash on this or many of its bigger mirrorless cameras. Also, as one of the other reviews noted, there were three dust spots if you test by shooting a blue sky at maximum aperture (F/11) though only one can be seen without extremely careful examination (see attached photo). This is easily fixed in Lightroom if necessary. You can’t have everything, but for the price of the renewed model, it is a steal and a definite keeper.

Excellent camera, but ...
Compare to PANASONIC LUMIX LX100 ( first generation ) - much better AF, better controls, ergonomics, scene modes and video, both almost useless in low light ( expected ). Need fast card. Don't expect miracles with small sensor - it is not DSLR.update 10.15. - returning, F11 clear sky test revealed 7 " smudges ", probably sensor or inside lens dust.Invisible on 95% photos

Do you *really* need the MK7?
I can hardly find a reason to pay twice or more for the 7th version of this camera. Almost as good in low light as a Lumix LX100, but with a good-enough zoom for most uses (not for looking moon details, that's Lumix ZS70 or Nikon P900/P1000 territory). Keep a couple additional batteries, and get ready for one of the greatest pocket cameras to this day.

Very happy with this purchase. The camera is small and compact, but the features are fantastic! The picture quality is great. I wouldn't recommend for longer videos, but the video quality is great too! – DJ AFINO

HIGH QUALITY CAMERA IN A VERY SMALL PACKAGE
I waited awhile to take a lot of photos before writing a review. I've taken some of the best photos of my life recently and appreciate how easy it is to travel with this tiny camera. The only concern I had was that it needed a grip because it's hard to hold on to but I bought an accessory grip and it works very well. There's a bit of a learning curve with this camera because there's so many adjustments and settings to get used to that it's very different from a typical point and shoot but it gets easier over time. It's expensive but I definitely recommend it if you're willing to pay for a high quality product that delivers excellent photos!
