Overall Good Quality
We have dogs on our ranch (they get to come indoors) and use this blanket as a couch cover. It looks good and appears to be pretty tough. Fabric is a little coarse but that is fine for our application. Haven't had to wash it yet so we'll see how that goes.

but it would be great as a picnic blanket
This blanket is EXACTLY what I was looking for in my apartment and it comes EXACTLY as pictured. I'm using it as an area rug, but it would be great as a picnic blanket, a throw for your bed or couch, or even a wall hanging. It's beautiful. I purchased it in the "Terracotta" color and the color is gorgeous and just as pictured. I was expecting a rather rough and itchy feel, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how soft and comfortable it is. This blanket is truly excellent for the price and I absolutely would buy again.

Colors and pattern are beautiful. We use ours to cover small leather recliner ...
We wanted a blanket to match the blanket we bought last year at a gift shop. This is exactly the same blanket and the price was lower. The blanket is large and of a heavy material. Colors and pattern are beautiful. We use ours to cover small leather recliner chairs. (The footrests are separate. I think the chairs are of European design.) The blankets cover the chairs and stay in place.

Nice Mexican-style blanket
It's a good size and thick for the price, a bit too itchy for a regular use blanket or throw IMO, but nice for decor on a table, headboard or wall, or as a groundcloth for car camping, and much better than nothing for those houseguests who have a few too many...

Not Bad, but Not For Me
This is a heavy thread type. It is well constructed. Made in India. It appears to have "other fibers" in addition to acrylic, but doesn't specifically state cotton, on the label. Also, the white colors are dull. That means the fiber used doesn't take, or hasn't been treated with the blue fluorescing dye that makes white bright. Perhaps for people who are averse to fluorescent dyes, this would be a pro.I don't like it though, because it is the least soft of 4 blankets that I sampled. So I'll return it.There are thin thread Serape blankets, and coarse threaded ones, it seems. Another coarse example is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SCVRI6S However, the latter example is quite a bit softer, and has bright whites.I would perhaps like this blanket for sitting on. But for a sleeper, I prefer the softer varieties. However, the linbked

Very verdy niiiiice
I love this blanket! My client loved it too so its the one we choose to redo her chair. The blanket was big enough for sure and of sturdy construction. It was my first time working with it so i didnt anticipate the unraveling, but that was my own fault. If I get another custom order for one of these blankets I'll be sure to know for future refence to fold all my ends before stapling. As for right now im hot gluing the ends under seat. I bought another one of these blankets to redo some old theater seats, I'm hoping they turn out just as good.P.S. I'm really sorry if anyone is offended that i cut up this blanket to put on a chair, but it looks great right?

Great decorative piece
I bought this to act more as a decorative piece than a functional blanket. It seems like it would be a bit stiff if I wanted to curl up on the couch with it. However, it is gorgeous and looks great on my pew!

almost...
I ordered this to replace a similar type of blanket that I left behind with a friend in Japan. The accompanying Description and Reviews encouraged me to think/feel that this was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, not so. My initial response to opening the delivery box was: How small it looks. Upon opening the plastic bag I thought: It really is rough, and, It surely doesn't look like the photo on amazon. Well, then I opened it up and draped it over the bed and I felt it was kinda cheap looking, especially with the very-white string ties at each end.Now to be fair: it didn't cost a lot of money, and it really is quite large. And too, it was replacing a rather heavy, tighter weave, less rough feeling blanket. Nevertheless, I wrapped it backup and returned it to amazon which as you'd expect was very painless. I'm sure many people will find that it fit's their needs, unfortunately it didn't fit mine.
