Ideal for wet and dry watercolour work

I’ve been trying various watercolour papers, to find one suitable for detailed botanical painting. Quite impressed with this and will definitely buy again.

Found watercolour paints not rendering as I would like. However watercolour brush pens performed well on the smooth paper. I am a novice and am used to a particular brand and this was available at a reasonable price.

The paper holds up well and takes watercolor very well. Just don't try and use any tape. The paper tears when removing it. I used 3 types of take and they all brought up the paper with it when removing.

Good value for money and can be used by beginners and the more advanced artist. It holds water well and with my style of not over wetting it didn't buckle or wave. I primarily needed a good strong smooth surface for graphite drawing which didn't show the tooth on larger shaded areas and this worked fine.

I hadn't had a lot of experience painting on hot press paper when I bought this and it does take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's quite nice. I think I need more practising, but I'd recommend this paper to anyone that either enjoys hot press or someone who'd like to try it.

Ive been doing watercolour using a more textured less smooth mor porous paper, this is not for watercolour, the pigment does not sit well on the surfact.
