This mailbox was larger than normal so great for extra mail. Easily assembled and installed; simple instructions. We didn't know it had a locking feature which as a plus and minus. The plus is that you can insure that no one can get to you mail after it is placed in the box. The minus is that the bar mechanism limits the dimensions of the mail that can be put in the box even though the box is larger than normal. Really like it overall.

Mail theft has become a local past time where I live. So I needed a locking mail box. I had to buy this locking mail box because its the only locking mailbox my community "approves" of.There is one huge problem with this box. The mail slot is so big that anyone can stick their hand in and without effort empty out the box. I am a grown guy and the first thing I did when buying the box is stick my hand into the lock box and pick the instructions out of the box.This is a huge problem, because its purpose it to deter theft.I added a custom build plate to the locking door to make the opening about half the size smaller.It's constructed ok-ish (not impressive at all). I am very sure I could break open the locking door with my bare hands instantly, just by pulling on it hard. The middle divider is made out of weak sheet metal that will fold to allow the latch past.NOTE: The rectangular mail box one that is also sold here on amazon is WAY better quality sturdier, and have an opening construction that prevents people from sticking their arm in. Too bad my community does not have that box on their "approved" list.

Bought this for our community association. Bought a post from Home Depot, painted it, and mounted the box to it using the standard mounting plate. No hassles. Postal carrier can put letters, flats and up to standard 9" x 12" envelopes into the lockable slot with no problem. Association treasurer and secretary both have keys. Residents are thrilled that we don't have to rent a post office box anymore.

Large. Easy to use key . Keeps out ppl without a key !!!

Nice box only wish it were sturdier. Would be simple to break into.

We bought this product because mail theft is rampant and we wanted to have a little more peace of mind.It looks nicer than the box it replaced and does a good job securing the contents.
