The UMMY: BPA-Free 100% Natural Rubber Pacifier with Orthodontic Nipple, 0-6 Months

Despite trying various pacifiers, my other two kids did not take pacifiers aside from a few weeks after birth. After stumbling across the Goldi on an eco friendly baby blog, I thought I'd give them a try. My son loves them!! Gives nursing mama a break; I was a human pacifier for my other two kids. I really like how the pacifier is one molded piece without any plastic parts. They are pretty indestructible too. My husband tried to pull one apart and it was near impossible. They meet the highest standards and the "rubber" smell has not been an issue for us. My son uses it as a teether as well. He prefers the rounded nipple to the sculpted, but will take both. Very pleased with this product!

OK, so my 3 month old won't settle for anything in his mouth besides the breast, and when that's not available for non-nutritive sucking, he wants my index finger. It started within hours of his birth. OK, so it was my own fault.We've been on the quest for an acceptable replacement for my finger since we decided thatA: my finger goes to workB: my finger isn't always so cleanC: my finger is indeed attached to my arm and I am no contortionist for little babies who would love to fall asleep with it remaining firmly lodged in his mouth.Plus, who wants a pruney finger all the time?Anyway, we went through all the mainstream brands and he gagged and balked and screamed at almost all of them. Then we started getting more exotic. When we saw these beauties we were very hopeful, because they seemed to have a substantial sized nipple on them (he hates the small ones).These pacifiers are exceedingly well made. I've now had the pleasure of handling more than my fair share of them since I've been on this quest. The pacifier nipple is air filled and has some give to it, but a little springier than most others. The rubber is very soft and pliable. There is no odor to it. It is easy for the baby to hold.So I have nothing but good things to say about this binky. Too bad it isn't very high up on my son's list, but what does he know anyway. We're not too upset about him not wanting a pacifier, and now that he found his hands he can give mine a break.Oh, and in case you see this same review twice, it is because we bought both sizes hoping one would be more pleasing to the boy. So far he's had more interest in the smaller of the two. This larger size is quite a bit larger, and while I know he will grow into it, it is a little overwhelming for now.

Well made but my baby hates them.

Tastes like rubber! I get it, it's made of rubber, but I was hoping for no taste or a more pleasant taste. Yes, I taste-test everything that goes into my infant's mouth, including pacifiers. I did all this research on pacifiers, in fear of having my kid suck on yucky plastic, but even though natural rubber isn't supposed to be bad for you, I just can't image the baby would enjoy the taste of this.

VEry soft. Perfect size nipple. I uploaded pic of others purchased in comparison all purchased in the smallest size for my 1 month old . First is Ummy, second eco piggy brand, last is havea stars and moon. This one is a lot softer and smaller. The others seem like for older baby. This one is curved just like the natursutten. Very similar in shape and texture and nipple size. All one piece and no hole in the back of nipple.

Kind of hard to latch on to this one. I bought another all rubber pacifier with a rounded nipple and it worked out much better. All my daughter wanted to do to this one was chew on it, which worked out fine with me !!! Wouldn't buy another one

When my grandson's old pacifier started to split-we started to hunt for a new one. This one is all rubber and molded all in one piece. He just loves it. Only one drawback. When he started teething and slobbering a lot, the dampness got trapped between the flat part of the pacifier and his face(around his mouth). Then we noticed a rash in that same area. We don't know if it was caused by the contact by the pacifier and his face, with the drool in between. He's not allergic to the rubber because he used it for several months before the rash appeared.
