Very happy with our purchase to complete our entertainment center setup. The assembly was extremely easy; roughly 45 minutes to complete both! We did notice quite quickly that these were not sturdy, which is unfortunate. We do not have anything extremely heavy and we are nervous to put anything else on it. Virtually every house has baseboards so the wall securing units are semi-pointless because the shelves can’t be flush. Just consider if you have a cat (like ours who likes to sit perched above it all) or kids (like us), that you do not place anything valuable or easily breakable on these.

The best part about this is, it’s easy to assemble, and it looks great. However, even after it is assembled, it feels a little flimsy and I wouldn’t want to place a lot of heavy objects on it. It does wobble slightly when moved even with the metal braces on the back. Overall, satisfied but wish it were a little more solid.

This shelving unit is pretty, but when it comes to substance, not so much. I read other reviews and many did mention the stability issue, but I thought maybe they didn't put it together right? So, I decided to get it anyway because the price was unbeatable. I do like it, but it's a reminder that you get what you pay for. It was super easy to put together, and it felt sturdy laying flat on the floor, but as soon as we moved it upright, it was a weebly-wobbly mess! Other reviewers mentioned needing to reinforce it and I will have to do the same. The instructions even say, "if the unit sways, put heavy books on the bottom shelf to stabilize it" LOL! So, there you go. At least they are honest about products functionality. Hooking to the wall will also help, but I haven't done that yet. So, is it aesthetically pleasing? Yes. Does it look nice in my office? Yes. Can I use it? No. Not without some seriously heavy books or some MacGuyvered additional supports. Will I return it? No. I'm keeping it and will make it work. Not worth the hassle. Would I recommend it to others? If you need an affordable shelving unit and you or someone you know is relatively handy to help create some additional supports, then yes, I would. If you're looking for a solid piece that stands on it's own with no other help, then keep looking as this is not the piece for you.

I love this shelf. It was easy to put together, very spacious and the quality is great. I will say that it does seem to lean and not stand as sturdy when placed on carpet. This however was very easy to remedy. I placed a command hook on my wall and then secured a clear zip tie to the metal safety hook on the shelf and then hook that onto the command hook that is attached to the wall. This secured the shelf to the wall nicely, without having to actually drill into the wall to secure it. You are not even able to see the command hook when looking at the shelf straight on so I was pleased with this hack. However I wouldn't recommend doing this to those who may have smaller children in their house. But in that case, the shelf does come with a safety strap that can be bolted into the wall. Nice piece for the price.

I LOVE the way these shelves look, but they were very wobbly when not anchored to the wall. Even then, they’re still pretty easy to torque. The wall anchor they came with was also not long enough to reach the wall because we have 1/4 rounds along the baseboards. I had to make my own out of window blind brackets and then spray paint them. I also wish there were other mounting options instead of just one in the center of the shelf so that you could line up better with wall studs.

I was really looking forward to this purchase. The TV stand is also from this company and sturdy. This bookshelf however is not. We'll see if that changes once we anchor it to the wall.

Nice, but way overpriced for the material that you're getting.

Very easy to assemble, took me maybe about half an hour alone. The two side pieces came slightly damaged as shown in the pictures. Of course the more damaged piece is the one in the front, so I am hoping to get enough pieces on the shelves so it’s not as noticeable.While I normally do not stabilize pieces to the walls, this may be one that I consider doing so, however I just found out that I may be moving soon so I will not be doing that here, and am hoping that between 4 kids and two cats, it remains standing because it is not sturdy what so ever.Look wise, it’s a nice looking piece and I had recently purchased the small cabinet with sliding barn door and my living room looks nicely put together.

Beautiful. But came broken on the top shelf. I managed to make it work. It came packaged perfectly so it happened before packaging
