Bioenno Power14.6V, 20A AC-to-DC Charger (Alligator) for 12V LFP LiFePO4 Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries (BPC-1520C)

I purchased these items based on price was worried they might not be up to par, but to my surprise they are actually very nice batteries, been running them in a marine application (RC boat) running 4S and 6S.

Great Charger. Well built and charges quickly. Great service from Bienno Power,One thing to watch, if the charger indicates the battery is connected and charged, but you feel that’s not likely, check the fuse with a meter. They will blow where the charger will not charge, but are still intact enough for the leds to illuminate, and it will indicate charged.I had this charger and on a fishing trip it indicated the battery was charged, I was surprised, but hey it said it was charged, the battery died an hour into the fishing trip that morning. I looked at the fuse, it looked fine. So i decided the charger went bad. I bought a replacement, two years later the same thing. Fuse looked fine. Battery was not charged though charger indicated it.I contacted Bienno Power explained the situation, they immediately started the process to send me a replacement though it was out of warranty! Anyway, that evening, I pulled the old charger back out and checked for obviously bad components, I pulled the fuse again, it looked fine. This time I checked with a my meter, it had some resistance on it, it was not completely open, but it was not intact enough for the continuity tester to see as intact.I replaced the fuse, and my charger worked! I replaced it in the Bienno Power one and it too worked.So, if you see weirdness, check the fuse with a continuity tester.

The power supply appears well and is sturdy. I used it once successfully to charge a large LiFePo4 battery and no issues, cut-off was correct, etc.The 2nd time was a flash, pop and smoke as i plugged it into 110V AC. Then the hassle of trying to get a warranty claim. Annoying thing is, you only need these things, when you need them, so reliability is what i need, not something to hassle over returning (at my cost), etc.BTW - the reseller takes no responsibility and you have to deal with the manufacturer.

Charges my battery fairly fast, but it the internal fan is very loud when charging.

I have 8 LiFePO4 batteries that have special charging parameters. This is now my bench top charger. It does the job great, and does it correctly which lengthens the life of my batteries. It charges in 2 stages and then floats to maintain the charge. This charger functions great and my batteries are performing at their peak because of this charger.The charger is also very compact and lightweight. The cables are long and the alligator clips are strong. I wish however, that they would have used copper alligator clamps instead of the cheap tin ones that came with it. Other than that, it lives up to its advertised performance and I am very happy with it. It is a great value for the price and it gets 5 stars.

Does the job.

Sweet and Fast. Charges my 3 12 volt 100ah in series Lifepo4's NO PROBLEM ... Buy it, uses the right charging algorithm. I use it for my RV battery bank instead of converter, since LiFepo4's run twice as long as my old lead acid ones, I don't have to charge as often.
