Nice for Displaying Items
This item works very well for spinning lightweight things. It can be attached to a ceiling or tree branch or wood beam, etc. It is very quiet. And it spins at a nice speed. Great for displaying art work, or other items. Looks good in the playroom with Tinkerbell attached and spinning from the ceiling. The remote control makes it easy to turn on and off.

It’s perfect
The media could not be loaded. Exactly what I needed. I made my own mobile and my daughter really liked when we spun it so I started searching for a motor. After looking at the reviews, I was a little worried that the 10 RPM was going to be too fast but it’s perfect! Attached a video so people can see the speed, I’m sure mine is a little slower due to the weight of my mobile. Zero sound comes from this motor which is great. The only thing is the remote has a mind off it’s own but I don’t mind since a couple of taps or moving closer usually gets it working again

Just about right.
I gave it 4 stars because the remote is under-powered and I have to be about 3 feet from the spinner to activate it.Other than that it works good for my purposes. I have found that in order to use it outside, you have to weatherize it. If you rotate the top counter clockwise a half turn it will lift off (picture 1). carefully remove the two connectors from the PC board by pulling up gently with needle nose pliers. remove the three screws and then remove the PC board and motor. you may find rust on the Infrared receiver legs and the switch (picture 4). Clean it off, wash with alcohol and tape off the connectors and switch with painters tape. Spray the board on both sides with clear acrylic spray. Let dry. Put some grease around the shaft (Vaseline will work) right at where it comes out of the housing. Slide the motor back in and screw it down. Put a drop of WD40 on the switch and carefully slide the PC board back in. Then put the connectors back in with the short cable going to the connector right under the metal board holder an the long cable going to the connector near the battery compartment. Screw the top back on. On the bottom side, put clear Silicone sealant around the IR receiver and a little grease around the switch and motor shaft (picture 5). This should help seal out the moisture that kills the thing. I also put clear packing tape to seal the battery compartment and the top. Mine works great now.

Battery life.
I liked the idea of having a remote, but if you leave the switch on the motor on the batteries go dead in about a week. So the remote is basically useless. Other that that, it works great!

A little fast for a baby mobile
The media could not be loaded. ...but it does the job quietly and smoothly! I picked this up to replace the wind-up 1-2 minute music box on my baby mobile, since we have other music sources and just wanted something to keep the mobile spinning. I was not sure how fast 10rpm would be, so I took a chance on this purchase. I've included a video so that others can see how fast it spins!Update: the batteries lasted me about 3 months before needing replacement, with intermittent use of 3-6 hours a day. The speed slowed to a better mobile pace as the batteries drained out, and I've been happy with its slower speeds. It operates without the remote, if you do not wish to use the remote. I did not even stick batteries in my remote; just turning on the mobile after adding the AA batteries was all that was needed. Size-wise, it seems to be the same length as the wind-up box that I had originally, which was an important factor in my choosing this one over the 7" long cheaper models (even though I do not have need of the included remote).

Baby & I love it
Works really well! I've been using it to spin my babies homemade Mobile for the last two weeks. I constantly have it running and forget to turn it off but it seems to be just fine still.

Hard PASS (what a waste)
Don’t waste your money.Yes the remote worked (not from a long distance tho)Yes it spun at a decent speed for a mobileBUT my gosh the batteries do NOT last long at all!!! I would turn the spinner on for maybe a total of 1 hour in a day and the batteries barely lasted a week. I changed the batteries and again they went out a week later. And yes the batteries were good name brand quality. The item itself is thin cheap plastic with a few wires inside. No quality or weight to the item. And no batteries included for device or remote. Don’t waste your money. Buy a better quality one that will actually last.
