Ultimate Sleep Twin - 3 Inch Natural Latex Foam Mattress Pad Topper - Medium Soft

I bought a hard bed that leaves me stiff and sore in the morning. The bed itself was a mistake I made some time ago but I couldn't afford to throw it away and buy a softer one for anywhere from $500 on up so after putting up with it for a month or two, I started to look at toppers. This one jumped out at me because the price was right and because it was all natural (I am sensitive and sometimes allergic to synthetics, especially when they are next to my skin). Then again, I'd never slept on latex before, so it was a bit of a gamble. When I first opened it up and lay down, I gave a deep sigh. This stuff was so comfortable and soft (!) yet it didn't give so much that I felt I was about to sink straight thru to the floor. So far so good, I thought. Then I slept on it--straight through the night--and didn't have any of my usual stiffness--though I have to say it took me a little while because I simply went about my morning without feeling sore before I remembered how I usually felt after sleeping on just the mattress itself. What a great realization THAT was!So I am pretty well sold on it. Basically, it gave me a good night's sleep, saved me a bundle of money and was all natural, to boot. Hopefully, this experience will continue night after night, but at this point I don't see why it shouldn't.You may be able to get by with the 2" instead of the 3", depending on how firm the mattress is underneath. My shoulders (I'm a side-sleeper) need as much 'give' as possible so I don't get too sore on one side and have to shift sides too often.

So long story short I decided to buy a memory foam mattress online sight unseen. Mattress got great ratings but some folks say its little firm. I get the mattress and it is not just a little firm it is hard. I decide I can live with it for a little while since I'm moving and want to upgrade to a king when we move. But then winter comes and this firm mattress becomes ROCK hard. Seriously so hard I get tinglely fingers, painful legs, and then a burning back. I CAN NOT deal. So I want to get a new mattress but still do not want to before the move. So I see toppers. i buy and return 2. The first is a "soft" memory foam 3". Wife says too soft and feels trapped. Then a poly filled topper. Does nothing. Last one was this one. It is great, it solved the hard bed issue and was resilient enough that my wife is not "trapped" in the bed. This saved me!

I bought a Queen - 3 Inch Natural Latex Foam Mattress Pad Topper - Medium Soft and a Queen 3 inch Latex Mattress Pad Topper 100% Natural Ultimate Sleep Latex, FIRM Density, and put them inside a Allersoft 100-Percent Cotton Bed Bug, Dust Mite & Allergy Control Mattress Protector, Queen 9-inch to make a custom mattress. This was in 2013. The rubber smell has gotten progressively worse over time, despite airing it out consistently. Any time you enter the bedroom you are instantly overwhelmed by the smell of latex rubber. So if you like the smell of car tires, do like I did and make a mattress with these.

Great topper. VERY substantial. We had bought a new "green" mattress from Ikea and couldn't quite adjust to the firmness... it was like sleeping on a slightly padded slab of marble, which was interesting at first and not entirely without its charms, but after a few weeks the mattress hadn't softened one bit, nor had we conveniently turned into statues, so we started craving some actual comfort for our bones. This was the perfect solution. It's hard to believe 3 inches could make such a huge difference! It softened up the mattress tremendously, and yet we still feel well supported. No weird smell, and does not slide around one bit. I can't imagine a more comfortable surface for sleeping. I also can't imagine anyone not absolutely loving this dreamy topper, unless you like a really firm feeling. I think this would also be a great topper for "revitalizing" an old mattress if you need to hold off on buying a new one.

Very comfortable latex mattress pad. I put it right on top of a wooden plank for my son's bed. It was the three inch height which was what i was looking for. It wasnt easy looking for three inch mattress, so I come across this and it worked out perfect! It's so soft yet offers plenty of support. Lying on top of it feels almost as good as my expensive tempurpedic memory mattress! Very impressed. Also another plus is there's no a trace of stinging order when we unwrap it. Hubby was going to aerate it overnight to make sure odor is gone, but it ended up to be so odorless we decided to use it the same night. There is two sides for the pad. One side like egg crate with all the holes. The other side is completely flat and smooth. Not sure which one should be up. We chose the smooth side. Did not come with description. Regardless, this is a great buy for the money. Hopefully it lasts as long as it is comfortable. Love it!

We have been sleeping on this pad for three months now. I bought it to "rehab" our old mattress, a typical innerspring with a thick foam topper that had flattened where our bodies lay to a ridiculous point only a few years after purchase. We had filled in the divots with padding and pillows but it was still awful. I wanted natural latex after reading reviews on Sleep Like the Dead website. I cut away the old topper, flipped the mattress, and put this latex pad on top. It was a little hard to get used to the first couple of nights (we had been sleeping in divots after all) but soon it was wonderful. My back and hip pain went away. I don't dread getting into bed anymore. No weird smells, no outgassing, arrived in excellent condition (no tears). It is a little bigger than our mattress and the edges are hanging over about an inch on each side, but once you get sheets on it is not noticeable. Like some other reviewers noted, do not open this too far away from your bed. It will expand and it is pretty heavy to move around. Highly recommended!
