Ok but not what I want
These cookies are just meh. I don't want to be critical as I understand how vegan/gf foods are much harder to make but even with that insight these just don't satisfy. I love supporting small businesses and trying new healthy brands but overall I would not recommend or buy again. I hope this review helps so I'll try to give enough info as I rely heavily on reviews when buying products.First off I came into this with generally low expectations, I have been paleo for a while and tried all the vegan/paleo/gf/df brands and made my own food of that sort. I get it, they don't taste as good. But I have had many better cookies than these that still are the vegan/paleo/gf/df sort. These cookies are pretty decent for the fact that they are made with chickpeas and don't rely on nuts so I can send my kids to school with these, but they have a artificial taste and leave a gross aftertaste in my mouth. When I tried these I though they were pretty good so if your a strict paleo/vegan/gf/df person than you'll quite enjoy these although they just don't give the cookie satisfaction even being healthy. In my kids point of view I gave him the birthday cake flavor and he loved the sprinkles. Initially he though it was ok although after a few more bites he said it was gross. I asked him if he wanted these again and said, "no, they're too healthy" so for kids I wouldn't recommend.Overall I like the texture but they have a very artificial and weird taste. I can't quite describe it but they aren't pleasurable to eat I would consider purchasing again if they weren't so expensive. My final note is in the chocolate cookies they are super bitter. I know the whole point of these is to be sugar free and healthy but I wish they would just use milk chocolate instead of these big hard blocks of biter cocoa. So won't buy again and wouldn't totally recommend.

Fabulous cookies for people who want gluten free, grain free soft cookies
If you didn't know that the cookies were made from garbanzo beans, you would not know the difference between this and other soft gluten-free cookies. These are wonderful alternatives to grain-based cookies, and they are good for a quick burst of protein during the dragging afternoon hours. A bit pricey, but worth it!

Terrible, so stale they are only soft compared to rocks...
I am very, very disappointed in the poor quality of these cookies. Though the expirations on all 4 flavors were nearly a year away, they were all hard to varying degrees. Some I could barely bite into to even try, and none of them tasted very good. The "P'Nutter Chocolate Chip" was especially bad and tasted like Play-Doh with artificial chemical-like flavorings and no nutty taste at all. The "Deep Chocolate Brownie" tasted a bit more accurate, but it was so hard I could barely chew it. The "Birthday Cake" was less hard but sickeningly sweet and disgusting. The sprinkles were a smashed, melted mess that I had to scrape off because of how excessively sweet it already was. The "Chocolate Chunk Blondie" had the same Play-Doh taste and seemed too off-tasting, with a weird, artificial aftertaste, and it was also very hard and dried-out. I would not recommend these, and I am not sure what they are supposed to taste like or how the texture should be, but I can hope it is not like what I received.

tasty and healthy vegan snacks
I ordered these as a result of a promotion for small business by Amazon. I tried the "birthday cake" first. Although it's starting to get hot here and the sprinkles had begun to melt a little bit, there was an identifiable "birthday cake taste" with the aformentioned colored sprinkles and a tasty "frosting" element from some chunks in the cookie. These are made from chickpeas, so you're going to get some of that taste in the cookie. If you're vegan, then you've likely had that taste before and it doesn't bother you. I next tried the "deep chocolate brownie" flavor. There were some nice chocolate chips in these, and the cookies are soft. I've had better vegan cookies, but I'm not sure I'm the target audience either. The packaging says they have no dairy, eggs, gluten, nuts...and are "perfect for school." The protein is also, of course, a helpful addition to the vegan diet. These were a bit pricey for my taste, but I can see that they would make a nice treat for someone who was vegan and allergic to gluten.

AMAZING!!!
These Rule Breakers are AMAZING, especially Birthday Cake!!! I love the Brownie as well but the Birthday Cake is my favorite. It taste sinful like I shouldn't be eating it. If you want something sweet, like a cupcake or cookie, try this instead it will satisfy your sweet tooth or craving without the added junk or calories. And for the people complaining about it, not sure why, must need something to nag about--so ignore them. I'm going to try the other two flavors and let you know.

Dry and overpriced
Saw this on Shark Tank and thought I'd try them--healthy alternative snack. Dry and not very flavorful.Won't buy again.
