Select Sport America 55 Goalkeeper Gloves

These were better in their last version. The new version seems a bit thinner and flimsier and the palms are already wearing out. Reasonable start gloves with an expected duration of about 6 to 8 games which makes it a reasonable price at the $30 range, but not at the $50 range.By comparison, I have the $100+ Reusch Waorani gloves as well. They're much thicker and more durable but obviously meant to be given the price.There are good practice gloves and beginner gloves, but for league games I recommend a higher end globe.

My hand measures ~8" (205mm) from base to tip of middle finger. A size 10 fits snug, with about 1/4" (6mm) of room at the top ofeach finger.I like the fit, and they are comfortable for a whole match without excessive sweating. I've not had any construction issues, no seam rips or fraying.The wrist wrap closure keeps the gloves down preventing constant readjustment like some other gloves I've used in the past.These do not have any finger protection, if you have strong fingers who cares? The latex offers good padding for ball impact, and as i mentioned above the wrist wrap gives good support. I've yet to get a stinger.Grip wise, they almost went through a break-in phase... out of the box they were not tacky at all and my "Select Numero 10" ball would pass through them pretty easily... after a few matches they are a little better.

Yes it meet expectations for used gloves

These were for my daughter, and she said that these did not have as much support in the fingers as her other Select Goalkeeper gloves previously had. Returned these and bought the other version of Select Gloves she has been using, Select Sport America 33.

Low-quality. These gloves are poorly made. Might be worth the price but I wouldn't pay more than $30 for these. The latex portion doesn't have much cushion behind it. The stitching looks as if it won't last very long however I am returning the item so I can't say for sure how long they would last.

Great in the beginning, but after a few games it breaks at the join.
