Maybe they changed the wall thickness since some of the poor reviews, but as of Jan 1, 2022, these are well made, especially for 2 bucks each. I was going to go a DIY route, but honestly couldn't justify ANY homemade versions for this price. You could make something similar out of 4x4 PVC post cover if you're so inclined (look up "Next Level Carpentry" channel on Youtube), but the cost of the posts were more than the cost of these bins.I build a pigeon hole shelving unit to contain each one, and got a great fit by making each opening 4.5x4.5. I left a couple of the holes taller since I had larger objects which I could place in the bin, but were higher than 4.5". I was going to purchase such a unit but couldn't find anything of decent price. I made the one shown here for about $80 out of 3 sheet of 2x4x3/4" plywood, and 1/4" mdf for the dividers. Only one row of dividers are solid (right in the middle to stiffen it up). The rest are essentially a frame design, leaving the center open. This both reduced cost and weight.The back is 1/4" mdf as well, although if I made another I think that was overkill and probably could use 1/8" hardboard. I then made a quick and dirty stand out of 2x4 lumber. I was going to hang this thing, but it's pretty darn heavy, but this way worked great as I could lift it off the floor and have some additional storage below it.You can then cut some card stock to make your own labels. Those are about 1x3" in size. I'm buying another set to do more organization, as I still have some empty spots in the shelf.

These bins are reasonably priced, seem quite sturdy, particularly when the dividers are installed, and worked well for my application. I made up cabinets from scrap wood (never throw anything out: it might come in handy), and they are good for storing hardware and other small items.

The quality of the product is not great, can I see those boxes crack and break after a while.It also doesn't come with label holder, or anything like that, so you will have to add another 1 dollar for this to put a sticker on the box.I could get better things at the $1 dollar shop I think.
