I bought this to use as a puppy mat but it is not durable. The foam is covered in a thin, stretchy material that easily peeled and became fun for my puppy to rip up. Why not for a baby? This mat has been "airing out' for 4 weeks, outside a few days, and I have even wiped it down. It STILL smells strong of chemicals. What a waste of money. I have an old baby-themed mat that is much better quality and is working better but I was hoping for this to be a more attractive alternative for our living area.
