Wrong product
Do not use this router bit with the Porter Cable door hinge template as the recommended pairing suggested when buying either of the tools, it will ruin the template as well as the door edge. Stick with the PC bit that comes with the template.

Don't use with Ryobi Door Hinge Jig
I bought this to replace the router bit that came with the Ryobi Door Hinge Jig. The bit is extremely sharp and made quick work of the door slabs. When I mounted the first hinge I noticed the cutout area was ever so slightly too big. I immediately looked at the jig and there was a slight recess taken out of the sides. It doesn't look like it but the bearing must be slightly smaller than the cutter.

Ragged results for dado
I tried cutting dados in 23/32" plywood and the picture shows the result. On the left is the ragged slot from this bit. It's so bad that I couldn't use it. On the right is the clean cut from a Bosch bit (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B084DXN73X). I finished my project with the Bosch bit and it's great. The yellow ceramic coating disappeared on the first use. It's hardly worth returning but it's definitely not worth using.

Worked perfectly
I needed to replace the rotting frame on an exterior door, and decided to go with a PVC frame kit from Menards. I needed to mortise out the hinge and latch locations on the frame. I made my own jig from 1/2 plywood (traced the hinge and cut if out). I did a test cut first on a leftover piece of PVC. The bit worked great - the cut was smooth, clean and followed the jig perfectly. It was for the back door on my shed, and this was my first time doing this, so my expectations weren't high, but it turned out great. Definitely worth the money.

Works great, but not sure how long it will last.
I used this to mortise three large recesses in a live edge slab of cherry for a fireplace mantle. I had no problems using the bit. It is an AMAZING value for the money. However, by the end I noticed a fair amount of the powder coating had chipped off, so I'm not sure how long it will last for after repeated uses. Fortunately, I don't do much mortising. So, if you only occasionally make mortises, I would recommend this bit, especially if you are just getting into woodworking. Also, make sure you check your router's recommended speed settings--that made a drastic change in performance, so there is a small learning curve with this, just as there is with any tool.

For light duty use only.
I used this bit initially on softwood trim pieces and it worked well. However I just recently ran a single four foot piece of oak through it and the bit is completely dull and useless.

Supplier needs work on quality control !
The media could not be loaded. Bit is undersized by .025. T track will not fit. Why can't you use calipers correctly. Bought 3/4 bit to cut once.T track is .01 smaller. If bit was .75 exactly the track would fit.

Does what it's supposed to
Worked fine. 4" Hinge and lock mortising 20 door slabs. Pine Stiles. No issues with guide bearing stick or bind and mortise edges were clean. Right size for DeWalt cordless router, shallow cut depth at about 75% speed. See how the cutters hold up over time but seems good value
