YaktraxWalker Traction Cleats for Snow and Ice, Black, Medium

There are lots of effective ice creepers available but Yaktrax are the only ones I've found that you can wear outdoors, then inside without damaging flooring. As I get older, I find bending over to put creepers on and take them off progressively more difficult, so Yaktrax are the perfect solution. Do they provide the same traction as spiked crampon-like devices? No. But they provide a great deal of traction and if you walk carefully, they're all you need for normal walking or recreational running. The simple sandal design easily goes on and off over a variety of shoes and boots. On a scale of 1 to 10, I go full Spinal Tap and give them an 11.

TRAX, what a great little invention! Living in Alaska it gets a lil cold, icy, and snowy.....who would think?...lol.....anyway these seem to be the steady diet up here in the Last Frontier.....They are QUICK to put on, QUICK to take off.....grip in all conditions of ice and snow and are the best instant gripping device I have ever used......if you walk on asphalt or concrete very much that has no ice or snow will wear them out quicker.......They do not seem to mar floors so you can run into the stores without taking them off......great invention....great product!!!! T

I walk around outside a lot during the winter. When it gets slippery (especially when the snow thaws then refreezes). I took a pretty good fall a few years ago which made me look for this product. It works. I haven't slipped and slid or fallen since.

I love these for making me feel secure walking over icy sidewalks and in snow. They slip easily over any shoe and even on my ankle boots. I can remove them easily when I enter a building (they don't work at all inside). I've used them for about six years.I did have to have two pairs this year to make one pair because, despite efforts to pay attention, two slipped off when I was walking. Still, for the money and ease of use, I don't think these can be beat!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and performance of these cleats. I didn't want to spend the big bucks for the really nice ones out there, so I thought I'd give these a try first. I don't think I'll have a reason to buy any others for a while. These seem to be quite durable, and performed better than expected. I have large feet, and other cheap ice cleats I've tried in the past barely stretch over my boots and end of slipping off. These gripped on very well and stayed put. I took them ice fishing as was literally walking on glassy ice all day and didn't slip once. Even pulling a heavy sled, I managed to keep my footing just fine. I gave my old cheap set of cleats to my buddy and he was struggling all day. I definitely reccomend these, especially for the price.

I learned about these from a colleague during a time of winter when melting snow and rain had created a frozen sheet of wet, smooth ice all over town, and when people had difficulty walking even a few feet without special great. Well, the short story is that these traction cleats did the job. They made it possible to walk without fear of falling, although one still has to be careful. A great improvement over winter shoes alone. It is seldom that a commercial product inspires a sense of gratitude, and these cleats do. I am very pleased that I purchased them, and I shall keep them where they are handy for next winter. Do note that putting them on is not entirely intuitive, but learning how to do it properly is very quick. Slide one rubbery end on the "nose" of the shoe, grab the rubbery back end of the cleat, and pull back to slide it over the heel of the shoe.

Great product if you live in a colder clime that gets ice. However, this pair has the metal coils working their way our. so they can snag on things. Yes, I can coil the metal back on, but who wants to do that after every walk. This product gets a D- after only one year of having them.

These are really great but i had to buy three pairs this winter for trail walking(not street). If you walk daily upgrade to next level yaktrax with chains. More rugged and Worth the extra money!! Happy trails!
