I needed an extra AC adapter for the Foscam FBM3501 Baby Monitor to allow me to keep the monitor plugged in at my desk and bedside without having to constantly unplug and plug in the existing Foscam AC adapter. I contacted Foscam, and they said that for some reason their supplier was not making extra adapters available for sale (strange...). They told me to search for model number: SSW-2256US, but warned me that some were being sold for $40+ (excessive!). I did find an adapter at an outside site (LCDPayless) claiming to be model number: SSW-2256US, but it had nothing in common with the FBM3501 adapter (completely different plug, voltage, amperage).This adapter came up on my search on Amazon, and I decided to try it. And guess what, it actually works! It had the right voltage and amperage specifications, but I was skeptical since the plug looked like it was a smaller diameter. But it seems to work fine and charges the monitor.Of note, the other Foscam AC Adapters seem to work also (e.g., Foscam Original US Power Adapter for Wireless IP camera FI8918W FI8908W FI8905W FI8904W FI8903W FI8909W), but the voltage and amperage are different. I don't understand why Foscam didn't just use the same AC adapter specs as they used for their other cameras. I guess they don't design their own equipment.

Works very well for the monitor, so should work for the camera too, altought I didn't test. The conector is just a little bit longer than the original one, but this is not an issue at all. The output voltage is marked as variable and the original adapter voltage is in between the range indicated in this power adapter. The blue light that indicate the power adapter is on is very bright, what can be a problem for some people, but you can just put some tape to cover it. The cable is probably longer than the original from foscam.

I use with a Summer Infant Best View video monitor handheld unit. The plug fits properly, but the connection for charging is spotty. I have to ensure the plug is positioned in the handheld unit just so, to ensure it keeps charging. That said, I'm glad I found a charger that works since my original one stopped working, and can't get an exact manufacturer replica from Summer Infant.

Awesome replacement for the adapter that came with our Foscam. I thought that our whole monitor was going to need to be replaced, thankfully I thought to get a new charger. This fixed the problem! There is a blue charging light that is a little annoying, but I'm living with it.

Works great! I love the Foscam baby monitor but find that the monitor unit loses battery life really fast. I wanted to keep one power cord by my bed (where the unit is plugged in at night) and one downstairs in my office so I can watch my son sleep while he naps. This adapter works great!

The charger simply works. I got 2 for our baby monitor, the screen and camera, as both old were broken. The new ones work well.

We got this because our Foscam baby monitor stopped charging after 6 months of use. We thought it was a problem with the cord. Unfortunately, the new cable did not fix the charging issue.
