Aztech WL559E WiFi Range Extender WAP Bridge 300 Mbps

This product is extremely bad..I have put it only 5 feet away from my bed room and it still doesn’t get signals..The range is only about 2-3 feet. Also it doesn’t have dual signal receiver. I m regretting my buy of this product. But now if I have spent money on this, I will use it for some time before I change to something better. I am extremely conscious of not wasting plastic products, that’s another reason I don’t want to get away with it. For me this product is a complete No no if ur work requires u to be online anywhere in the house.

I been using a TP-Link TL-WA850RE for last couple of years for boosting the signal from my router. My router is installed upstairs and I need good WIFI strength to use my TV downstairs. The TP-Link worked fine till it broke after falling down.Now I wanted to get another TP-Link but for some crazy reason it was not being shipped to Bangalore. Hence I decided to go with this Aztech WL559E WiFi Range Extender. This was one day delivery hence I decided to go with it. It was almost the same price as that of TP-Link TL-WA850RE.Setup was quick and easy, took around a minute. Now coming to the WIFI signal and range extension, it was a huge disappointment. Following are the reasons.1. I used to get 20 to 30 Mbps speed on my old TP-Link. Now this Aztech is giving only 10 to 20 Mps. I got a 150 Mbps connection but with 2.4 Ghz you can expect upto 50 Mbps but this Aztech is not even giving half of it. This is not a deal breaker but sometimes the speed goes below 10 Mbps and it affects streaming especially with 1080 or 4k content.2. My TV and smart phones keep connecting to the router upstairs. I never had the problem before with TP link, it's the same setup, just WIFI boosting, so using the same SSID. This is the really troublesome, even when I'm standing next to the Aztech and re-enable WIFI on the phone, the phone picks the router upstairs. I got to reboot the Aztech to make it connect in such cases. Never had any issues with my old TP-Link extender.3. This got flat pins, you need an adapter to use it with Indian sockets.Overall I won't recommend it since even with good signal I got turn it off and on multiple times for devices to connect to it. This device has become a real pain for me now, now the return period also got over. Invest in a quality product from a reputed company, certainly not Aztech.

Waste of money.Does not boost as claimed. Boost only in the room where router is kept.Time taking for installation.

Overall good performance

Plug type is not Indian type (Type C), so need a converter or compatible plug points.Able to convert wifi to ethernet, but it reduces the speed.Getting heated quickly, not sure whether its a damaged piece.

I am using my Laptop and mobile in the portico area comfortably with the added support of the Aztech WL559E WiFi Range Extender WAP Bridge , where otherwise my Wifi range was feeble. Installation was very simple and user friendly.Only discomfort is the plug pin of the device which is not suitable for all wall sockets. I have to use an adapter on my wall socket. Over all I am happy with this gadget.

I read all reviews before purchasing this item - Aztech WiFi range extender. It found the installation process very difficult to crack. I do not know why people said easy installation over here. The manual has 2 other languages along with english and this information was not good enough. Finally I went to the aztech website to check for warranty and this product was not listed. I have doubts about the authenticity of this product. So I called Amazon cc and they asked me to return it if its not working. So i retuned it.
