Don't buy to use as a microphone.
I bought this product to use specifically for the microphone for chatting on xbox Live, plugging them into my headphones.Unfortunately the threshold for speech to come through is far too high and so you have to shout for your friends to hear you, even after loads of audio troubleshooting to reduce the minimum as much as possible.Don't buy to use as a mic. Otherwise I'm sure the product works fine, a slight buzzing noise could be heard at times though. Feels nice and sturdy however.

Mic is rubbish
I'd previously given this a 5 star review but following literally just one use for a minute the cable is no longer fit for purpose.I bought this solely for the mic - I have the Sony WH1000XM3 Bluetooth headphones and a PC without Bluetooth. I bought this, as opposed to an ordinary aux cable, so that I can use the headphones in a call with a mic (the built-in mic on the headphones is Bluetooth only.)When I first opened it I made a pretty clear recording of myself talking on my phone and thought it works well, that's that, 5 star review. Every subsequent time that I have used it, on ANY device, I had to scream into the mic held right in front of my mouth for anything to be picked up, be it my own recording, people in a call, etc. Yes, I've looked at input settings and volume sliders, yes I've tried a dozen different devices. They work with everything else just fine, not this cable though.TL;DR was nice for 5 seconds.If you're buying this for the mic, look elsewhere. If you're buying it to use as a standard aux cord the quality is decent.

Ultimately disappointed 😞
The reviews were a bit uncomplimentary for this but I decided to give it a go. The one I received was absolutely fine and worked great.Update: after a time, the in-line volume controls stopped working however, on contacting the seller, they were super helpful and replaced the faulty cable with a brand new one without quibbling. Many thanks. All working perfectly now.Update 2: Approx 5 months and this one has bitten the dust too. The main fault seems to be the in-line controls which are just a poor design. It’s so easy for them to get pulled as there is nothing clamping the cable on either side of the controls to stop this. However, this one just fell apart when being pressed and although nothing looks broken on it, no matter how I try, it will not click back together again. I’ve bought a few of these now for myself and others but I give up as they have all lasted no time at all.

Resurrected my First Generation Beats!!!
Brilliant Product ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love my first generation Beats wired headphones so much and have used them every day for years until one day the sound started breaking up and until there was .... nothing.😢😢😢 . My Beats were dead . They were very old and I have since received the latest AirPod Pros which I also love but my lovely comfy Beats were no more. I was going to bin them (after holding a proper funeral, of course!) when I spotted this cable on Amazon - an exact match to my old one. For less than a tenner I took the chance and (cue: heavenly choir and harps) .... My Beats came back to life!! I am so happy!!! 😁😁😁 The sound quality is perfect and they arrived within 24 hours. This is just an all round great buy to save your quality, but aging headphones.Would definitely recommend both this product and seller ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Defective cable at first but replacement on the way
Sadly I received a defective cable, however seller had a replacement ready to send out the next day. Excellent communication from Lewis and willing to rectify quickly. Replacement cable is working perfectly. Very pleased with the level of customer care.

Feels a little cheap, but works.
Bought this for my winter headphones (over-ear ones to keep warm!) as the old one was damaged in a house move. the controls feel a little cheap, but work fine and don't seem to have any problems - don't anticipate them breaking soon. Colour is great - the original cable I had was purple, but this is just as good. There are some cheaper alternatives around, but I've tried some that look and sound terrible - this is a good bargain.
