You get what is advertised.
These are and do just what the product description says they do. I used them on a current model Subaru and they fit the door just fine. They need to be used on a straight part of the door. The plastic is fairly rigid and won't bend around curves. They friction fit without an adhesive, but I don't know if the plastic would expand and slip down the door in full-sun, desert heat. They're cheap enough, so if they work, they work, and if they don't, you trash them and look for something else.

Great protection for on opening car doors in the tight ...
I have used these Guards for my 3 cars for years. In our tight fit house garage, the doors would always bump and mar each other's sides at their opening. With these Edge Guards, the sharp door edge is thick plastic covered at their critical contact points so the doors do not bang and mar the other cars. Great protection for opening car doors in the tight garage spaces.

We park both cars in our garage and inadvertently bump the other car when getting in and out.....in the same place. For the cost and ease of installation, the pkg of two door guards, appropriately placed, were just what I needed.

Guards the high impact area of the door edge
These Cowles T3000 Door Edge Guards not only guard your door edges, they protect other vehicles next to yours. Great protection for a very small investment! I put them on both our sports car and on our SUV...

Way too thick
These edge guards are way too thick. I put them on the front doors of my Crosstrek and every time someone opens the rear passenger doors, they rub against the guards and make a loud "crack!" sound. After happening several times I can see that the paint is wearing off on the rear doors where the guard is rubbing against them. What a waste.

Do not buy
I purchased this for my van, unfortunately a car wash pulled the driver door guard off. I now have scratches the entire length of the guard on my door. I am so thankful I didn’t out them in the passenger door. Quote to fix the paint on the driver door over $600.

Not good..
Attracts dirt, brown discoloring after few months of use, I removed it and it left a dirty sticky glue on the doors...not a good experience!

Good protection but too stiff
It does protects my car's doors as expected. But it seems to be too stiff and not flexible enough to follow the edge of the door. Its upper end cannot hold on to the curve of the door. In brief it does the work but it looks bad on my car. I would recommend it if your car's doors are not too curvy at the edge like mine.

Fine
Strong chemical smell, but do its job well.
