As a new Ostomy patient I was overwhelmed by the options available. The hospital started me on the 2-piece system using these bags. As Medicare only pays for 20 a month, I order extras for peace of mind. There is NO place in my town that sells ostomy supplies and the last thing I want is to realize I only have 1 bag left!This bag has a velcro closure with an extra security flap. It is easy to empty as it has a small fold at end which allows you to open & drain the bag without the stress of the plastic sticking together. You can also "burp" the bag if you have gas without removing the entire device (as in a 1-piece system). It works like burping Tupperware.If you are an Ostomy patient, these work well and are a decent price. It is worth it to order extra for peace of mind.
