Works well for the price (£40)
850nm version.Note 850nm produces more light than 940nm.940nm is more discrete and not all cameras pick it up.I bought this torch to occupancy my night vision rifle scope. For 2 reasons, 1. prolong camera battery by using different ir source. 2. I could put torch in different location to me so I won’t get reflection when looking through glass to outside. For both of these points it works well. The torch itself is made well, feels tough. It’s not any heavier than any other torch of its size.Cannot really comment on its illumination range as I’ve not tested how far, but my garden is 80ft and it illuminated it well at the back. You can also widen or spread beam to suit. Intensity control wheel nice and easy to use.The illumination is better on my camera at setting 1 than this torch is on max, however this is probably why my camera can only last an hour and a half with it on, this is not a problem though as the torch does as its intended to and we’re talking different league of money. As a previous review states and I also see, there are a few lines can be seen flowing from top to bottom. This doesn’t effect my use, it could be the torch, it could be my camera. But it doesn’t matter to me.To sum this up if you want a torch to illuminate ir this will do it.If you want a torch for an alternate ir source for night hunting within 100m this will do it. May be suitable for further but not tested, so can only confirm what I know. (Mounting to a rifle could be done with the right clamps, will obviously add weight to your setup)Yes there are better torches out there but it’ll cost you more and if you need more ir light, it’s probably not a torch you need.

Buy it
Shocking good haven’t used it out shooting yet but tried it in the garden with my night scope and it’s so powerful. I even used it through my cctv and the difference is mental. Definitely buy one you won’t be disappointed

Great IR used with ATN Scope
I use it as a secondary to the ATN IR touch that came with the scope and the adjustability and long battery life of the Nightfox is great. it feels quality and weighty with a good seal so moisture does not get into the battery tube. The use of a 18650 single battery makes swapping out in the field easier than a multi battery torch. The Nightfox gives great illumination for the distance I need it to cover.

Very good, but strange lines.
Really good torch, bought after my T38 died unexpectedly and needed a popular replacement, however I don't know if it's my Night scope or the torch but I'm seeing lines on the IR beam even when I set the lens to full flood. Haven't seen this before but it's nothing major and I can still use the torch for hunting with no issues.

Very robust
Accidentally left it in a pocket and then got washed and spun in the washing machine. Still worked after.

Great Air gun spotting torch
Great torch great as air gun attachment. Saves on the PARD batteries.Cool idea having the green led on the bottom so you can see when it's on.
