These things are killer
These worked great with a white paddle tail. I used them in Fort Myers and caught a ton of fish off the beach, even lost a 4' tarpon.I decided to try using them in Fresh water in Michigan and caught a ton of bass and pike on the same setup as well!

My favorite jig head for saltwater lures (swimbait
My favorite jig head for saltwater lures (swimbait, paddle tails, jerk bait, etc.). Just remember light weight for shallow (2-4ft) and heavy for deep (5-10). Retrieval speed plays a major role in depths as well. To me it all depends on number how deep am I fishing and how hard is the wind blowing. I've been using a 1/4 oz. to a 3/8 oz. with strong wind. You need to be in contact with the lure in order to work it properly. Wind blowing your line to the point that you can't feel the lure is not good. On calm days, I will throw a 1/8 oz.

Fewer snags on bottom
The positioning of the "eye" greatly reduced the chances of the "head" snagging when working a bait in contact with gravelly bottoms. Regular heads have a shoulder in front of the eye that can catch on rocks instead of slipping over them.
