Christmas Carols (Little Golden Book)

A new tradition was born this year. Our almost 4 yr old had us read/sing this to her every night of December and we sang each song at bedtime. We would sing each song together and she is still singing them and it just became February. I love this tradition.

This songbook is the size of the Little Golden Books that are children's story books. It has 12 songs. I wanted to know what songs were included, so I took a chance and bought the book to find out. I was hoping it would include We Wish You a Merry Christmas and The 12 Days of Christmas. Those two are NOT included in this book.The book has beautiful illustrations. In error I thought music would be simplified for a beginning pianist. Book originally published in 1946. I was not familiar with several songs in spite of being senior. Focus of book is on meaning of Christmas with lovely illustrations. Book was nice but what I needed for granddaughter

The very traditional illustrations in this book are a delight - but I was very surprised and disappointed to see that there was a repeated spelling mistake in the words of one of the traditional carols.

The sheet music is nice. However, for almost all of the carols, you're only given the first verse (which everyone already knows).

I didn't realize the book would be written in sheet music, it's so lovely to see. Also love the vintage look to the pictures. My 2yo daughter repeatedly asks for Deck the Halls because we sing it in this book. Great intro to Christmas music!

Perfect book for the toy box. Great for Christmas singalongs, when learning the lyrics. Charming graphics.

Great way to introduce Christmas carols to your LOs. So much singing, clapping and dancing along with my 22 mo and 4 yr old. There are a couple songs I’ve never heard of. My LOs still enjoys listening to the words. Classic Little Golden books never disappoint.

Cute classic songs

Very cute old-fashioned drawings. A great bonus in having the actual music (upper and lower stanzas) as well as the lyrics.
