Has both pros and cons... read, see pictures
Received this shelter today for my bunny. Just assembled it.Pros:- Cute color (green as in pictures, so call it whatever you wish... mint, kelly green... etc.)- Casters make the shelter movable, which is helpful for socialization... I have the cage in the kitchen with me when I cook, so the bunny doesn't get lonely!- The pen under the shelter is easily removable and is easy to clean. I simply hose it off outside.- Another perk of the under-pen is that you can take your pet outside when the weather is nice and actually take the pen out completely, so the waste just goes on the ground... and since the shelter is elevated, my bunny doesn't sit in waste!- There are three openings: on the side (as pictured in my review) and two openings at the top (you can lift the entire top or just open the smaller door at the top).- The horizontal grid on the cage makes it easier for the bunny to prop up and look up (v.s. horizontal bars which make little paws slide down and allow no support/grip)- The pen under the shelter is quite deep, which is nice for sanitary reasons. I use pine shavings on the very bottom.- Casters are lockable (two of them), so it adds some sturdiness to the shelter.- Because the shelter is raised, it is easier to watch your animal while sitting on the floor and more fun for the kids...- There was one extra screw in the package... better safe than sorry, I guess!- Assembly took me about 30 minutes.- Package arrived quickly. Ordered on August 1st. Arrived today, August 4th.Cons:- Pieces came dirty and scratched. I expected a new, clean product for $70.- Printed instructions are very poor (incredibly "busy", yet lack necessary details to avoid frustration and re-doing of things)- Sturdy 3 out of 5. One of the side pieces is slightly bent.- The front opening of the shelter is very low and the animal can easily fall out (see my picture).- pieces came packed in a ton of plastic. Yes, I care and I believe it is a giant con. I don't want marine life to suffer because I just got a shelter for my bunny... that's backwards. So, manufacturer, please consider packing your product in a more environmentally-friendly manner. Especially, since all the pieces were dirty and scratched even when packed in a million plastic bags!So far, I have not seen any leaks... Bunnies tend to back into corners to pee and my previous cage leaked... and left stains on my floor... not cool. I have not seen any leaks with this one yet. I just assembled it, so we will see. I will add to this review as needed.

Beautiful, well-constructed small animal cage
More like four and a half stars! I ordered this cage online for one of my single guinea pigs. I was looking for something similar to the large Marchioro cage I have for my two older females, and this was quite close. The cage was very easy to assemble. The instructions were very detailed and specific, and I was able to put it together myself in less than an hour. Now that it's together, everything seems sturdy. I left the mesh out, so my girl is living at ground level, and the pan is about 6 inches deep, which cuts down on mess getting kicked out of the cage by a very active guinea pig. The pan is easy to slide in and out for those of you who would rather remove it for cleaning, and a hanging tab on one side keeps animals from sliding it out on their own. Large doors on the front and on the top, which also means you can clean the cage without sliding the pan out, and if you have an animal that likes to leap out when you open the front opening (as I do), you can simply use the top for access. The cage is stable while standing (not tippy), and there is about 6" space underneath for storage. I gave this a 4 1/2 star instead of 5 for two relatively minor reasons. One, it only seems to come in one color combination: white wires with a frame that my husband describes as "slime green." Not a particularly attractive color scheme, but one that I am willing to overlook in the name of structural integrity and functionality, both of which this does seem to have. Number two, the relative distance between the vertical cage wires makes hanging a water bottle a little challenging. This, again, can be remedied with some improvisation, which I intend to employ. Some nylon tie wrap can be used to secure the bottle fasteners to the vertical wire, which will prevent the bottles from sliding from side to side and falling off. As this cage is tall, I could see it being comfortable for a chinchilla or another type of climbing rodent All in all, a good, solid cage.

Nice tiny cage if you need a space saver
I noticed no one has posted photos so while I received mine from Petco for $50 after using my pals rewards and can't speak for the shipping through Amazon, I can speak for the cage itself. It took about 45 minutes to put together and the directions were simple enough. The cage is small, like really small. My mini lop is about your average shmedium(small/medium) rabbit and she's a bit stretched out in the photo but even when she's not its tiny. I'd say it's perfect for a dwarf or holland lop type, so long as they spend time out and about the house. I personally needed a tiny cage for my college apartment and my rabbit spends every minute I'm home out of the cage so for me it's perfect, but know to invest $8 bucks in some pee guards for their favorite corner. The trays easy enough to clean and the wire flooring seems like it won't bow(though a sturdy bit of metal in the middle for stability isn't a bad idea, if you're listening Prevue π). All in all for 50-60 bucks I'd buy it again, but if you've got the space and want to make your bunny the happiest it can be, get a cage about 2x the size.***UPDATE*** I ended up making space and upgrading to the cocoa and cream and selling this one at cost to my sister(it cost me $7 to upgrade after pals reward money so it was well worth it) still love this cage, though. The cocoa and cream is poo colored and has a textured finish, but it's bigger so c'est la vie π
