We used this recently as a poultice boot alternative, we ended up buying 2 in 1 week as the first did wear out very quickly when the horse stood on any small rocks etc it would rip. The price is cheap enough and you would probably get more use if stabled/no movement but for out in a field you’d be lucky to get a week out of one in bad weather/mud etc. on the plus side it does come high up the leg and didn’t come off despite it being the middle of winter and lots of mud so I can’t fault it too much for the price.

Works perfectly for protecting bandages from rain, mud or dirt for a few days, but does get small holes in the bottom and is not as waterproof due to this after a few days or a week or so. It lasts longer with horses with a bare foot as the shoe damages the bag faster. Perfect as a temporary solution to still allow horses to be turned out with an abscess poultice or a wound.
