An Owl book for all ages!
This is a captivating book that can be browsed for sheer enjoyment of the magnificent photographs, for fascinating details of owl biology and behavior, and for practical advice about finding owls yourself. The youngest in the family will be awed and curious by the photographs; older kids will ask questions to which their parents will find all the answers; and teenagers will learn about people who actually have jobs with owls. It’s the kind of book one can dip into at any page and enjoy: a nature book in a class by itself. The day I started reading it, I knew my grandchildren would love it, so I immediately ordered copies for all of them.

The most informational owl book I have been able to find!
The media could not be loaded. This book is THE BEST owl book I have been able to find for teaching all about owls.It has beautiful photographs and fantastic diagrams. It touches on aspects of owl anatomy that I haven’t seen in any other book. Basically, it’s one stop shopping for owl information. I teach elementary school and this book is wonderful for teaching informational text features. It includes how to make an owl box, too. It also includes a diagram of the formation of the owl pellet.

Best Nonfiction Book I've Read All Year
This is your one-stop book for thorough and fascinating coverage of owls. Crisp, detailed photographs bring to life every aspect of owl anatomy, nesting, habitat, and hunting. Owl pellets, which always fascinate kids, are covered in great detail. The book finishes with conservation and rehabilitation efforts and a reputable link for making your own owl box. The glow-in-the-dark cover is icing on the cake.I waited until I could get a hard copy from our library network before buying. Our local children's librarian agrees that this is an incredible book and ordered one today, too! I recommend this for teachers to add to their classroom libraries.Owling: enter the mysterious birds of the night by Mark Wilson is worth every penny. Thanks to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the eARC.

Happy Owlet!
My son had recently declared that he loved owls most, after seeing a Hawaiian Short Eared Owl on a birding adventure a few months ago. I read the review for this book and knew it would be the best quarantine surprise ever... and I was right! He "charges" up the glow in the dark cover every night before settling in to read. So much information, exciting layout and incredible illustrations and photos! I love reading the book as well! Excellent!

Great book for children, especially owl lovers
We bought this for our 8-year-old granddaughter who loves owls, and she loves this book. Interestingly enough, my husband was walking in a nearby popular hiking spot recently and got talking to a couple. The subject of owls came up. Turned out he was the author...small world we live in.
