Mini Ceramic Casserole Baking/Serving Dishes (Set of Four)

I think that these are probably too small for soups. However, I have a habit of always cooking way too much food. I starting using these to make single serving size sides and desserts. Most notably Mac and Cheese. They cook great, clean super easily, and I usually serve them along with something I have made in my LC Dutch oven, so I love that they match and look great. The mini round cocotte are perfect and I am buying more and giving them as a gift.

The photos and reviews made me think that would be a cup or 12 oz. They hold exactly 4 oz (1/2 cup) with lids on. There is a lip that the lids sit on. And 3 of my lids sit on it and 1 is too large and sits on the brim. They are cute if they fit your purpose but you may want to pull out a measuring cup and see what 1/2 cup looks like. My low review is because the description could have indicated the size. The dimensions listed threw me off. The glaze had faults on some of mine but not any worse than other items I've bought. I think they'd work for cupcakes or muffins - standard size of you have a recipe for 4.

I was given the oppertunity to review these dishes at a promotional price in exchange for an honest review. Before ordering, keep in mind these dishes are on the smaller side. they are meant for small/individual things like side dish or souffle. They are oven safe and dishwasher safe. I love the little lids that go on top! They add such a touch of class and elegance to the meal you serve it with. I made indidual mini mac and cheese cups and next im going to try creme brulee. These really are a fun little thing to make your meals more special.
