I looked forward to this a lot. It arrived damaged. I don't have time to return it but this was disappointing.Edit: It was burnt in three places along the length but I found just enough unburnt length to wrap my boyfriend's Schrade knife handle which looks pretty nice for my second attempt ever. I can testify that the tinder strand just loooooves to burn but the rest melted neatly as I needed. It frays but not crazily as I anticipated, it didn't unravel and the wrap is nice and tight.Also the company contacted me randomly today and offered an apology and to send a new cord? I have to reread the email but if this is actually their customer service then my rating may change significantly.Edit: They sent new cordage and it is perfect.

Paracord is paracord right? Wrong. So many fakes out there and they are easily spotted once you have them in your hand. This paracord is possibly the best I’ve used it has an additional fishing line, fire cord and the best snare line yet. It is easily knotted and does not feel any different than mil spec 550.There are many out there you shouldn’t waste your Money on. This is a winner and is going in my bugout bag. I am more than pleasantly surprised. I love it.

That's the first thing. It's a good value, plus they aren't just including a fire cord, but you get the added benefit of the fishing line (doubt I will use, but it's nice to have) and some tinder cord. I bought some to lace my boots. That way, I ALWAYS have it in case of emergency.I can see using the fishing line portion for an alarm system or snares more than fishing. I hope I never find myself in a situation where I have to use it, but if I do, I am all set! It definitely makes hiking and camping a little more fun to know I have this security.The fire cord works too! It's nice to know that it lights easily so if I do need it, it will work! I would estimate a 6 inch piece burns well over one minute! Check out the video.I bought 4 hanks of this stuff. I have some in my jeep too! You never know when it might come in handy!UPDATE: FEB 2020. It took a few weeks to measure and cut, but when I did, I found it was more like 95 feet than 100. I downgraded the stars slightly because of this. It’s still great cordage, just short!

Most paracord is pretty much the same -- you're just buying to ensure quality (usually about the same), for price, and maybe for color.This paracord is quality, low (average?) price, and has multiple colors. Plus, it comes with a sweet velcro wrap -- sold, right?But wait, there's more! The paracord also has a wax fire-starting line, a cotton thread, and a 10-lb test line in addition to the 7 standard paracord lines! Why not have those things?!I just don't see a reason not to get this cord. I'm sure there are cheaper cords out there if you don't need those features, but if you're backpacking or want to have this as survival cordage, this one is awesome.

I bought this to add to my emergency kit. I was surprised that it was basically cut and thrown into a plastic bag. This isnt about show and presentation since its a tool but I chose this over a comparable 100ft listing BECAUSE of the velcro...that didnt come with it.

Don't even bother getting this. Its cheap, thin garbage. Going from Titan cord to this is like using dental floss. Yes that's an exaggeration but it's not too far off. The casing wears easy. The internal cord barely melts. It just burns and never solidifies. The wax cord is a joke. Don't bother with this.

It is a jacketed paracord with 7 nylon strand, 1 cotton strand, 1 fire wick strand, and 1 braid fishing line. Each of those strand is 3 yarn twisted except for braided fishing line. True to size, I order 100ft and received 101feet.It does not have metal strand, not a deal breaker. I wish it was 500 lbs breaking strength but again, not a deal breaker.Quality of paracord is very good for the money. Fire strand have is wax embedded therefore it should be waterproof-ish and easy to fluff.I use to be an inspector for parachute manufacturing. This is not mil spec or PIA spec(parachute), military spec is over rated especially on consumer products. While I did not perform a tensile test, ph, and elongation on this paracord. Base off what I see so far, it is quality survival paracord at a reasonable price. BTW stay away from kevlar anything, there shelf like and uv resistance is terrible unless you get a really exspensive kevlar. Keep in mind, check the entire length of your cord, all companies will only do batch sample size inspection. If you want real mil spec with certs, go buy from a PIA certified cord but for sure you will NOT have these various strand and it will cost you a whole lot.Most paracord should last you 20 years in the shade with no rain. Miles may vary depending on storage condition.Over all, it is a great product, everything they claim is true. Best value paracord.

My only complaint is the fire cord makes melting the ends a bit tricky since it doesn't turn into a pile of melted plastic. Simple enough, trim it shorter than the rest and melt ends as usual.Cord is very nice, works well for making bracelets and other paracord projects. Haven't had a chance to test it out for normal paracord use though, if anyone would even use this cord for securing purposes.

Works as para cord and in small quantities is good fire tinder. It has fishing line in it that I have not tried as I would have to destroy the cord/open it up to use it.

I used it for paracord handle on my forged knifes and it feels really good! The cord is high quality made and works great for the price. Look great on hunting knifes.

Neat item. Who knows if I’ll ever actually use any of the gimmicky strands but I will use paracord, so why not...
