Using this kit to adapt a non-LG pedestal to LG dryer
Rather than pay $300+ for a new LG pedestal when we bought our LG dryer, we decided to mount the new dryer on the old (Frigidaire) pedestal. This kit worked well with a few caveats. If you're thinking of doing the same, maybe these tips will help you.Firstly, this is a sturdy, well-made set of steel rails with no sharp edges. It has predrilled holes where it should align with an LG washer. However, we didn't use it on a washer so the predrilled holes didn't line up with anything on our pedestal.Secondly, the side-to-side measurement of the pedestal needs to be exactly 27". You may have 1/8" or 1/4" wiggle room, but don't count on it. The depth (front to back) of the pedestal is less critical, but the kit rails may protrude over the front of the pedestal. The official LG pedestal is eactly 24.4" from the back to the drawer opening. The drawer is another 2.5" thick. In my case, our pedestal is shorter, so the side rails protruded past the drawer opening, but doesn't affect the mounting. The drawer still works fine. This kit only uses 2 screws for the side rails, one for each rail. Each side rail is screwed to the back of the pedestal/washer, a solid connection in the back. In my case, there was no mating hole for the rail to screw into, so I had to drill into the back of the pedestal before attaching the rails. Not a big deal, but there were two layers of steel to drill through, so it took the right bit and a little time. One other caveat: the kit comes with a sticky pad on the bottom front of the rails to temporarily hold the rail in place in the front while you slide the dryer onto the rails. However, the sticky pad is very small and in my case, since the pedestal is shorter than the rail, the sticky pad had almost nothing to adhere to. That makes the rails a little loose -- they are socked down in the back by the screws, but they were more or less free side-to-side in the front which made it a little tricky to slide in the dryer. Had I known about this beforehand, I might have used some double-sided carpet tape along the whole length of the rail to hold it in place.Once the dryer is lifted and slid on to the rails, the last step is to install a front rail that screws into the side rails. The holes are predrilled and the enclosed screws worked fine. That front rail simply locks the dryer front-to-back.Bottom line, this worked fine after working out the small kinks in the installation and we now have a working dryer mounted on the old pedestal. The kit is solid.

Works
Works great. Cheaper than LGs version, and you can actually receive it in reasonable time. When I ordered the same item from LG, they sent me the wrong one, a fact that I unfortunately did not realize until the installers were already at the house. So, I sent it back to LG who then took weeks to reimburse me for their error. I immediately submitted a second, this time expedited order from LG. It never arrived and LG again took weeks to reimburse me. Fortunately, the Mekar stacking kit was available through Amazon and arrived with only a couple days wait. No complaints with Mekar. No complaints with Amazon. Huge complaints about LG. All that said, I love the large washer and dryer from LG.

Inexpensive off-brand but as effective as the brand version
Our Samsung washer/dryer were stacked with an OEM stacking kit that was alot more expensive. We unstacked them a couple of years ago and threw out that kit. Needed to stack them again so I nervously went with this non-brand version. It is literally indistinguishable. Obviously high quality, fit and finish perfect, peel and stick adhesive strips are solid. I don't recall if there were instructions but we YouTubed the process because I forgot... which is actually quite simple and intuitive.

Wasn't a great fit, returned
I ordered this because I figured simple brackets would be fine from a non-OEM supplier. I struggled attaching these, thinking I was doing something wrong. Finally, I realized the fit just wasn't quite right, but not until I added a few scratches to the waster trying to make them fit. Returned them and ordered the LG "official" versions and they fit perfectly. From the looks of other reviews, I may just just gotten a bad batch, but there is no question these were off.

Great design and fit!
It was very simple to install and is very sturdy. My only issue with the product was missing hardware. There are 4 screws needed for correct installation. Two of these are used to fasten the kit to the rear of the washer. I received three of this type. Two are also required to fasten the kit together at the front corners; I received only one. Fortunately I keep a supply of self-tapping screws and found one that worked. Overall a great product that works great.

I have installed may stacking kits. This is easiest to install so far
Love this. Easy to install and works very well. Very happy with purchase. Just wish it came with all washer dryer combo so I didn't have to buy! Will buy again if I stack another set.

Solid even with heavy loads. No shaking.
The front bracket appeared short but it screws in just fine when centered.
