Realistic, steamy and funny too!
The guys have started a new relationship, and in this chapter of their story that relationship is tried several times. Tate finally tells his family he is involved with a man and Logan is not welcomed with open arms. And a ghost from Logan’s past makes him keep Tate at arms length until Tate makes him share. I loved that their love story isn’t all rainbows and flowers and perfection. These two characters have to overcome real obstacles to get what they want - each other. Add in some seriously steamy scenes, superb dialogue, humor, and snark; and I’m all in!

keeps on getting better
Book 2 in the Temptation series, and like any sophomore romance novel, the smut is very much there (jeez, the stamina needed alone to keep up with these two is slightly nauseating) but that aside, I enjoyed the depth that the novel went with - the book made the transition that while Tate and Logan are very much a physical couple, that they can be of substance as well, and also work on understanding that their attraction and status as a couple goes beyond the physicality of their relationship. While I don’t think they got the chance to really work on their issues in regards to how they really do work as a couple along with other mundane issues, the real star of the show is the captivating writing style of Ella Frank. More then the characters, it’s her ability to keep engrossed even in a novel where you would think the plot would take a backseat to the smut.

Another 5 Star Read!!
I couldn't tell you how excited I was to get my hands on this baby when it came out, now I'm on my 5th time reading it and still LOVE it just as much as the 1st time, if not MORE!Tate and Logan take us on one hell of a ride. These two will continue their journey and have hurdles to overcome yet, but I have no doubt they will do it all together. Ms. Frank makes sure that we all experience every emotion possible right along with them - happiness, worry, lust, anger, you feel it all on every page. Logan & Tate's relationship has really deepened and developed already, any we're only on book 2, I look forward to seeing what it's gonna be like in the end.

Logan & Tate
If your mind wasn’t blown by Try, the emotional punch that Take is going to finish that for you. Trying takes on a whole new level for both Logan and Tate in this book. Both Logan and Tate struggle with realizing this isn’t just super hot sex. There are emotions involved that need to be navigated in both sides. Logan comes with a duffel bag of emotional issues that he and Tate need to unpack to move forward. Tate brings an incredibly bitter soon to be ex-wife and an old-fashioned family that is just not going to understand Tate falling for a man. There are some tough conversations, hurt feelings, major accomplishments and even hotter and sexier times in this next chapter of Logan and Tate. My heart went out to both these men as they each faces their pasts and hurts. Even though this is my forth or fifth read of this favorite series, I’m still sucked in and wanting to know how this relationship unfolds (even though I know)!

Extraordinary Series--One of the Best of Its Kind
This is a simple review of all three books in the series.I will start off by stating I have read dozens of books in the past couple of years with the same kind of theme--gay-for-you, which means one is gay, the other straight, maybe not. Many of these books feature very masculine MC's with tons of personal issues, many of them family related. This series is similar in that respect but what sets it apart at the main characters--Logan and Tate, who are to my mind the best of this genre with the possible exception of Ty and Zane from the Cut & Run series. In "Try," Logan is a determined self-centered predator who sets his sights on Tate and will not give up until he sends Tate over the edge. And then Tate's personal issues come slamming home.In "Take," Logan expands upon his desire to control, but Tate must not only deal with his own family issues but also bring Logan back from a shattering personal experience that takes Logan back to a childhood he seems to be reliving in his adulthood. In "Trust" the two of them get past their family and ego issues to the point where--bam! no spoilers! This series is beautifully written, exceptionally detailed and filled with some of the best, most selfish, and most mutually fulfilling sex scenes in the genre. These men are heroes, and Ms. Frank is a genius. Get them all, now!

Let me tell you a story.I once read a m/m story and I thought it was the best m/m story I had ever read! This book was called Try and it was everything I had ever wanted in a book. It was hot, sexy and powerful. I rated it up there in my top five favourite reads ever and left it at that.Fast-forward to earlier this month when I opened my kindle and found Take on it. Now I will have to admit that I have been waiting not so patiently for this book, wanting to see where Logan and Tate’s story would go…but damn I didn’t expect this!!I will tell what I got when I read this book and I will try to do it without gushing too much! I will start with the way it was written as that’s the easiest to tell you. As with all of Ella’s other books this one was written impeccably, even if I wasn’t waiting for this book I would have been dragged onto the story. She has the ability to tell a story that grabs you and doesn’t let go. The characters are written in such a way that you feel everything that they are going through. I love the way that the story just continually from one POV to another, you get to experience the whole story from different perspectives and that keeps it fresh!Ok so now I have to get down to the nitty gritty of this story. The men themselves!I love both these men! There story is emotional, heart breaking in bits and so god damn hot! I didn’t think that it could get hotter in this story but I was sooooooo wrong! I stated that Try needed a new pair of panties with each new chapter…this time you will need at least two! I think adding in the emotions that both the men feel adds an edge to it. This time they aren’t Trying, they are Taking and it is so amazing.I don’t want to say too much about the story as I hate spoilers, but you just need to know that the emotions that these men experience in this story are just overwhelming, and you honestly live their story along with them. I love stories that steal me away from reality, and this one did that from the first chapter. The only downside to this story that I found was that it ended! I honestly think I could read this story forever and not get bored! So I now have to go back and amend my top five m/m reads of all time…because Take just knocked Try out of the number one spot!

OMG! So hot it sizzles!
This is the 4th time I've read this book - so hot it burns! Ella you have outdone yourself with Logan and Tate's story. It's so beautifully written, so romantic, emotional, sad, in fact you experience every single emotion possible when reading their story. Ella makes you care about both characters from the very first page and to top it all off the sex is off the charts HOT! I will definitely be reading this for a 5th time and I tell all my friends to read it too.

4.5 Logan & Tate stars!!
Take (Temptation #2) by Ella Frank4.5 stars!!“I can’t wait to give your mouth a reason to be so effing dirty.”Well…the boys are certainly back in town and while this instalment is still full of the wild and passionate Logan and Tate, with this book we also get the emotion, the conflict, the “coming out,” most importantly, we get “feels” and I felt it all. Anyone who follows my reviews knows that I love to “feel,” I want to experience the highs and lows, the love, the pain and the anguish, I want to feel it in my heart and head, I want to live it and breathe it and Ella Frank delivered all of the above. In this book we get to see the “real” Logan and Tate. As Logan and Tate’s relationship evolves, so do their emotions, their thoughts and feelings, their love and their anguish. Both of them have to fight in this book, whether it be past demons, family or both. I just felt that this instalment was more “real,” the one thing that I thought was emotionally missing from Try was Tate coming to grips with this massive lifestyle change but in this instalment Tate really does go through the motions and we are treated to all the internal struggles that he has to come to terms with. I cannot imagine the struggles that a guy who has always been “straight” goes through when he finally realises that actually, he is not. Tate is so overcome with how he feels about Logan, it is intense, it is passionate but most of all it is uncontrollable, something he has never felt before. Tate knows that with Logan it is different, extremely different, this is all new, and all-encompassing love and he finds that he needs time to process in his own way.“You make me crazy and furious and out of my mind with need, but in the end, you make me so effing happy. I can’t ever remember feeling this way. And no one is going to tell me it’s wrong. No one.”Logan has his own battles to fight, we never really knew what happened to Logan in the past to make and shape him the way he is now. We knew it must have hit him hard and we finally get to understand the reason behind the self-confessed “player.” Logan too realises that what he has with Tate is foreign. For the first time EVER, Logan experiences a plethora of new emotions. Possessive Logan, jealous Logan and most importantly, a head over heels in love Logan. Logan has always been in tune with his sexual preferences, but he was always the shag ‘em and leave ‘em type, no matter the gender. Logan finally realises just how out of control his emotions are with Tate, once again, as with Tate, this is new, this is foreign and it is scary, but never has something that has been so intimidating, ever felt so right.“What are you trying to do, kill me?” Tate shook his head. “No, I’m making you mine.” Logan released his hard-on and grabbed Tate’s ass, pulling him up so he could rub their cocks together. “Don’t you know? I’m already yours.”As I said above, the inner turmoil is fought throughout this book and it is painful at times, but also so uplifting at the same time. It was great to finally see these two “see the light” and realise just how much they do actually mean to each other, no matter the hurdles they have to cross or the demons they have to fight on their way. The layers are slowly peeled away until we finally get to see Logan and Tate “RAW,” and it was beautiful to read.“And…this is definitely my choice. You might have done the chasing in the beginning, but Logan…”“Yeah?”“I’ve never been happier than when you caught me.”In Try, we saw them Try to make this work, in Take; you will have to read to see if they finally Take it and make it! Ella Frank once again has written a stunning and captivating read, you cannot help but root for these guys. You will be willing them along all the way, you can’t help it. I have totally fallen in love with these two, I want to see them work, I feel their love and lust, they are explosive yet so sensitive, their connection is mesmerising, the heat is off the charts and they literally cannot keep their hands, mouths or whatever else they come across off each other. It is intense and powerful but most of all you feel the love, that deep seated love that you only experience maybe once in a lifetime, we just have to hope that it is enough and I for one, cannot wait to read what happens to these two going forward. Maybe it won’t be plain sailing, but I for one feel that what they have is worth fighting for. A great read that I thoroughly enjoyed and couldn’t put down. I have yet to read a “bad” book from Ella Frank, I don’t think it is possible, she continuously delivers and this book is no exception. I just want MORE.“In case I get busy in there and don’t say it, thank you.”“For?”“Always being willing to try.”

Try, take and trust
I'm reviewing these three books together because I bought and read them all together. I have to say there was a LOT of sex in them which sometimes I actually wanted to skip because I needed to get with the story. They were all well written, and enjoyable but the characters were so grumpy at times, then they had sex and mellowed out, I suppose you could describe Logan and Tate's relationship as volatile, but only verbally volatile. I thought Logan was arrogant and pig headed, but Tate was a nicer guy. Book one, you got to know them and their penchant for lots of sex, I love the idea of straight guy turning gay but find it hard to believe although I want to, anyway Tate turned.Book two was getting to know them a little more, you got to know a little about their past and families and Logan's Achilles heel - the horrid Chris. And book three was a surprise.I never saw the accident coming, I assumed Chris would rear his ugly head, which he did but after some posturing he kind of vanished so I wondered what the point of him was, then we had a happy ending - after copious amounts of sex that is.All in all all I enjoyed them but - and this makes me very sad to have to admit it, but - I think there was too much sex and not enough story. It won't stop me reading more m/m by Ella, but hopefully next time s well as all the glorious sex we will have a story with more backbone.
