Active 10" Subwoofer - 120W Rms New Condition

I added this unit to my patio stereo system and it rocks! Now that system is not audiophile quality, but it's pretty darn good especially with this sub-woofer which has literally brought the outside sound to life. Friends were over for a barbecue recently and they wanted to know what was making the music. It was easy to setup, to adjust with the onboard volume. It can be adjusted for a subtle deep sound, or a booming thumping bass based on your preference. Overall a lot of bang for the buck!

Received this item on January 16th. It was a gift for a family member. When the present was opened and the subwoofer was set up it just hummed. I tried it with one of my AV receivers with the same result. This sub is a sharp looking unit but if it doesn't work well there you go. I can't recommend this item and like the title of this review states "try it before you give it as a gift".

You will be hard pressed to find a better subwoofer at this price. The construction of the enclosure is impressive and the size and weight of it does not suggest cheap. My only complaint is port noise. I combated that with a little polyfill. The subwoofer driver will distort if it's not tuned properly, but at this price, that is expected.
