Perfect home server. Almost.
I loved how small and quiet the server is. I use it with a PCIe card hosting NVME and SATA M2 slots with both slots occupied. The server runs ProxMox with multiple VMs and containers - I did have to upgrade RAM though. The motherboard has an internal USB socket and can boot from a flash card. This is my first Fujitsu product and fit and finish and quality of craftsmanship are superb. Not so good: no M2 slots, PCIe slots are only x8 and you can NOT insert a x16 card without cutting a card or a slot - this made my attempt to pass-through GPU to VM problematic. Fujitsu support web site is a major stumbling block. I did manage to find the firmware upgrade. Never bothered with their ServerView - use the web-based management instead, which is adequate. Now I would probably consider HPE Microserver Gen10+, but at a time of the purchase that was not an option AND the price was right. I wish Dell had a product in this segment.

Excellent value
Snagged this one for half the price (4xx). Initially had some issues with RAM compatibility. Fujitsu's write-up is just ok. Finally found a RAM that works for me:Silicon Power 16GB Original Hynix IC DDR4 2666MHz (PC4-21300) 288-pin CL19 1.2V 2Rx8 ECC UDIMM Server Memory RAM Module Upgrade (SP016GBLFE266B01)I think if you stick with UDIMM with same specs as mine (minus speed and capacity), you'll be fine. I only purchased RAM, as I already have spare SSD.At first, I thought this server was loud. It was only loud on initial boot process, like most enterprise servers. It sits next to me and I can't barely hear the fans. I am running CentOS 8. The internal drive bays and wiring could use some work. Wish I know where to purchase drive caddies for this model.Advice to Fujitsu:Your products are fantastic. Improve on marketing them here in N/America. Improve your online documentation. Send your consumers information about accessories and where to purchase. Overall this particular item is very good. Keep making them small, so we have small footprint, but don't sacrifice on capabilities.

Excellent computer.
Silent operation, small chassis, efficient power consumption, quality build, made in Japan. You will need a video card, a sound card, and a hard drive. Debian 9 supported.
