Very impressed and happy I bought
I am very glad I purchased! I was a little on the fence with the reviews but I’ve been bored with the same recipes and wanted something different and a little healthier.**tske the reviews with a grain of salt... let them give you skittle insight but make your own opinion. Yes there are pictures of food and Kristin, but honestly they don’t overwhelm the cookbook and they have the same amount as any other cookbook I have.I really like her descriptions on each recipe and you really feel like she’s saying them. I didn’t want to goncraxy with buying all ingredients so I chose three recipes to do and try them out and see how they were. Her recipes are simple and not a lot of ingredients.I also liked how there’s a variety of everything in the book from breakfast ,snacks ,drinks and main meals.I got the cookbook in the mail yesterday and made two of them today.First, I made the avocado chicken salad and I have to say it’s it was simple and delicious!! I ends up using her advice on easier and bought a rotisserie chicken.Second, I made the zucchini almond butter bloodies and Brought them to a cookout and figured my friends would be honest on a new recipe. They came out so delicious and were a hit! They were asking about the recipe and where I go it from. I am a sweet eater and for a healthy recipe i didn’t feel I was missing out and you really couldn’t taste the zucchini but they were super moist.Next I’m trying out the acorn squash for breakfast.I am really glad I went with my gut to buy theirs book. I’ve been a fan since Laguna Beach and your always hesitant with celebrity cookbooks as if there really good or just wanna sell something.. Kristin definitely is an amazing cook and has some amazing recipes.Ps I also can’t wait to try and make my own almond milk.

Wonderful gluten free recipes
Absolutely could not stop making almost all of the recipes from this book. This is one of the first gluten free recipe books I bought since diagnosed with celiac and no longer able to eat gluten. Before purchasing both of Kristin Cavallari’s cookbooks that were out at that time. (She now has another cookbook that just came out this month) All I can say is every single recipe tasted wonderfully. Was a relief as I had undergone testing all sorts of gluten free breads that was very disappointing (whom doesn’t love bread) Highly recommended, will be purchasing her new book shortly!

Great healthy, easy delicious recipes!!
This book has seriously changed my cooking life. I have cooked multiple recipes and each one has been easy and delicious! We try to eat gluten/ dairy free and with these recipes they are both healthy and delicious even my boyfriend loves them!!My fav: the beef tenderloin- the best filet mignon I've ever had- a crowd pleaserThe only thing I would say is there are a TON of pictures of her in the book where there should be pictures of the dishes! Also some of the portions are off- she said the cookies would make 50- they made half and the beef tenderloin and salmon 1 pound would not fill 4 people!!

Fun recipes but tons of typos
I’ve been enjoying this cookbook much more than I thought I would however the typos are annoying. Whoever proofread this should be fired. I’ve had to adjust the quantity and even the type of ingredients because of the errors (e.g., cocoa was listed as an ingredient where cacao should have been listed). Otherwise these are tasty, healthy, and easy to make meals and snacks so I do recommend this cookbook.

Careful!! Recipes are great. Book & paper quality is not what you get at bigger stores!
I bought one at a boutique as a gift, looked through it and had to have one for myself. Ordered on Amazon and thought I was getting a good deal...Prime shipping, a few bucks cheaper than the boutique. The difference in print quality between the two is horrendous! The photos on the amazon version I received are grainy and the pages are so thin you can see through to the content on the other page. It takes away from the recipes- I hated the feeling of it. I get that you’re buying a book for the recipes, but get your version elsewhere. Not worth it to have a version with a crummy print job if you can get a more substantial version locally that will stand up to food splashes! 5 stars for the content because I think this is a seller issue, not a recipe issue.

it did not disappoint! The recipes look simple
I was so excited to pre order this cookbook and once I got it, I must say..it did not disappoint! The recipes look simple, nutritious, and best of all...kid friendly! I love K’s easygoing and candid approach to cooking and life in general. She’s a breath of fresh air in a world of stuffy, strict diets. Looking forward to preparing several of these recipes for my family!**update: Made the zesty quinoa salad for a get together last night...it was a hit! The flavors were subtle yet tasty, was super easy to prepare and transported well in the car. I added an extra can of beans and next time I will add a bell pepper for color.

Not enough pictures
I am not a big cook so pictures are super important to me. This book has interesting recipes but not nearly enough pictures, if anything a lot of picture of the author herself rather then dishes

This is hands down my favorite cookbook I own
This is hands down my favorite cookbook I own, currently. I love the variety of recipes and substitutions for normal processed foods. The best feature is the pantry list. I love the breakdown and what you can use the items for. It made prepping for some of these recipes easier since I could buy those items to have in hand. I have made a handful of recipes and each have been delicious. I hope to gift out a few of these books! Only negative is I wish the book was made to lay flat. I don't have a cookbook stand to hold it up so it does close shut if no weight is on the book.

Great recipes!
Love these recipes- have tried loads so far & they’ve worked out well. the baking ones are especially useful with two young children - trying to instill healthy habits. The oat pancakes are a regular in our house now ⭐️

cooking up a storm
love, love, love this cookbook. I was looking to change to a G free diet after being dairy free for a couple of years. I was having issues with my gut and was working on reducing certain things like gluten in my day to day foods. This was a great way to do it. The recipes are easy and fun and if you pick up a few of the essentials listed to keep in your pantry you'll find it easier to make recipes on a whim. Can't wait until her next book!
