I can't fault the product description, but it states it works by adsorption, which is different from absorption. My understanding of the difference is that adsorbtion refers to small amounts at a molecular surface level, whereas absorption is the process of soaking up.The 5 gram sachets enclose small orange and white pellets. When enclosed in a container with damp material, the orange pellets change to green over a few days - the white ones seem unaffected.I wrongly assumed that immersion in water would demonstrate how these worked - it is by humidity or condensation.I also wrongly assumed the colour change would be reversible - it's not. Once green, always green, so cannot be 'dried out' and used again.So I can't complain I have been mis-sold in any way, but will be using these to INDICATE moisture, and employ something else to remove it, if present.
