Reckitt Old English No Scent Scratch Cover Polish Dark Wood 8 oz. Liquid

I bought this to camouflage some surface scratches to a dark hardwood floor in my last rental before moving out. I was not disappointed! If you buff it into the scratch/es, it will really condition the wood and blend in surface scratches.

I bought this not sure how well it would work but was pleased at the job it did covering up scratches and nicks. I got both the dark and light wood. I have all wood doors and they had lots of nicks but this made them look like new again. It leaves a nice finish and doesn’t stain your hands.

Before & after photos. Easily covers my dog’s claw marks on the front door. He makes them whenever someone he doesn’t know comes to the door.After applying and making sure it is VERY DRY, I give it a good glossing over with Old English Lemon Oil. This is my longtime standard wood treatment since recommended by my Grandma…the lemon oil scent brings good memories.

This polish is the standard for furniture scratch repair. I always had been and always will be.

It never occurred to me that this would be hard to find. I live in a house that is paneled with grooved redwood and has oiled baseboards. I *live* here which means that there are scuffs and scrapes and grime. My interior thrives on Old English, I just wish it were available in gallons.

I have used Old English Furniture Polish for over 50 years! It covers scratches in dark wood very well. Caution! It also stains your hands and about anything else it touches. I wear plastic gloves when I use it and I store it in a zip lock plastic bag!It makes your scratched dark wood....beautiful!
